Haahahahaaahahaa! Y’all were FIGHTING for this one, weren’t you? This poll got 78 votes, the most yet!
Okay, the verdict is in and I TOTALLY AGREE. This family is just so diverse in its musical styling, and they ALL get down in their own way. Great music.
Which family (immediate and extended… and former) in gospel music has the best catalogue of music?

Winans – 44% (35 votes)
Hawkins – 29% (23 votes)
Clark – 27% (21 votes)
*** I’m aware that this photo omits Vickie and the fellas from Winans Phase 2. Leeme alone… it’s all I could find.
AGREE or DISAGREE???
Oh, and head over to the sidebar on your right to vote on the next question:
Of the titles listed below, which collaboration is your FAVORITE from Donald Lawrence? >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

As far as the D. Lawrence poll, my favorite all time collabo has got to be Say a Prayer with Faith Evans.
I must be going crazy at a faster pace than the nurse told me I would. I coulda SWORE I commented on this atrocity. I wasn't dreaming... and I didn't take my medicine all weekend so I know I was awake! :) My comment that disappeared was kinda like: Though it stimulate great debate, discussion.. memories, I don't think this poll was quite fair because each family's music does something different. HAWKINS: Sunday Morning. Even with killer leads (Tramaine in her 20's, FLUNDER, Shirley Miller and Walter), the Hollywood presentation (gospel had never seen a better band or a bigger show), they still had come for church. It was purely Sunday Morning music. And funerals. U can't sing as much of the other 2 in church, even progressive churches. EVEN with Ron Winans Fam & Friends... that wasn't Sunday MORNING; it was midnite musical. Winans: Barrier-breakers. Diversity. Crossover... they took storefront fervor to the masses with polish and cache without EVER compromising the Message. They took good notes from those Hawkins boys and went FURTHER. It was "ride in your car or sit in your dorm room and learn to be a better singer, writer, musician." Crazy concepts. Only thing right left in a wrong world. HUH? Anita Baker? Then Daniel, Vickie, chillen, Angie & Debbie, Ron's projects, and... BeBe and CeCe. I can't go down that road; just thinking of her makes me "Thirst" for God... but "Don't Cry for Me!" And finally... I KNOW y'all get sick of me, but it's MY comment: CLARK: Consecration. Fun. Faith Development. Twinkie wrote directly from the Word of God! (Am I passionate enough?) Her songs were sermon SERIES, bruh. The age in which we live is JUST now catching up to Twinkie. Who else was looking for miracles in 1980? Who was ROOTING us in the CENTER of God's will? This is profound consecration. Declarations of what salvation means. Scars Into Stars! Hung Up for My Hang Ups! I'm His Possession! No, it wasn't Sunday Morning Hawkins stuff. And it wasn't Conceptual Crossover Winans stuff, but it's the music you go back to when you want to chart your course in the faith and get back close to God. Ahhh...that's all I wanted to say.
@Byron: hilarious. That's "all" you wanted to say, huh?
I wasn't going for laughs. Submit! :)
HAAAAAAAAA! That's all you're getting, brother! You're right, though. I unfairly stacked the deck. It's apples and oranges and passionfruit... no way to really compare them. But uhh... who did you vote for?
LMBO. I knew I wasn't getting any more. I voted CLARK; not sure how any of the 5 times "took" though.
