In The News: Hezekiah Walker's First #1 at Radio!

Hezekiah Walker has earned the FIRST #1 radio spot of his career this week with the smash hit ”Souled Out,” from the album of the same name.

This means that he’s unseated James Fortune & FIYA’s record-breaking reign for their hit single, “I’ll Trust You.”  I love the friendly gospel radio competition– let’s see how long Bishop Walker stays up there!

CONGRATS to my fave choir.

There, I’ve said it.  My favorite!

That's great cause I love Souled Out. They'll keep the number 1 spot for a week, cause James Fortune will be back at number one next week, lol

I soooooo would've never thought that song would make it to #1... i guess its the lyrical content...or the 1995 groove? i digress. And I always thought it was supposed to be Sold Out?

@me Sellout, is a term that is used in pop culture. So it just a play off of words, instead of saying "Sold Out" or "Sellout", like the world, you say "Souled Out", which makes more sense if you listen to the lyrics. We sing "My soul loves Jesus" in church, and Pastor Walker's song is just saying the same thing, just in a contemporary way. Had they said I am "Sold Out", I would have thought they had ran out CD's or something:-)

Hi Everybody: This is a nice song, especially the lyrics "My mind is made up!" If you keep your mind on Jesus he will keep you in perfect peace. This is what I need while I'm driving because people walk right out in front of your car, drive too slow, or have stuff flying off the back of their vehicles. Let's not forget those sleepy truck drivers sliding in your lane. *Gospel music calms my road rage. This song will help you stay focused on your purpose and responsibilities.

We are bought with a price (because of Calvary), we are no longer our own, thus we are 'Sold Out'/'Souled Out' (our souls belong to God); no longer do we answer to Satan, we don't have time/room (no room no vacancies) God's spirit lives in us that's the reason were SOULED OUT!! that's my interpretation......
