On TV: 106 & Gospel

Who saw 106 & Gospel on Sunday?  It was pretty darn good, I think.

Mr. Del was on there, rappin’… I didn’t care so much for that, but that’s mostly cuz I’m not a big gospel hip-hop person.  But I LOVED his interview– he gave his testimony about getting out of Three 6 Mafia and the gang situation in Memphis… very inspiring and great for youth (and adults, actually)!

And you KNOW I enjoyed some shufflin’ and squallin’ from Shari Addison, singing “Please Make Me Better Lord.”  That woman can GO and she KNOWS it.  Plus, she did a great interview– nice and bubbly personality.  Fun stuff.

Who else saw it?

I missed it!! I wish they would change the time...it comes on at 12 noon here and most people are in church! They will never get the ratings they need to keep the show successful at such an odd time! I love "Make me Better" from the old cosmo album...sharri addison rips it too!!

Im not big on gospel rap, but I really did enjoy what Mr. Del had to say. Shari Addison can just flat out sang, she makes it look easy.

ME, ME, ME... I Saw It :)! I'm also in church at Noon (& have no recording capibilities as yet), but I went to their website and was able to see a number of episodes, including this one. Shari's performance was enjoyable. Mr. Del's testimony was a heart warming encouragement, and though I'm not big on rap I kinda, sorta digged his performance. I believe on that same episode they had a pre-recorded interview of two NYC Gospel rappers (Richie Righteous (RR) & some other dude). Again, rap is not my thing, but when I do choose to extend my musical borders RR's stuff is what I reach for. It was a cool show!

I saw it too!!! (Man I was wondering why it was taking so long for you to start this blog about it! )lol I too was not a fan of Mr Del performance wise BUT and this is a big but... His interview was GREAT!!! It further confirmed that we never know what a person has gone through to get where they are. I do like gospel rap but not all of the artist's material. His interview made me see that while I may not have enjoyed his song, someone else who is or may have been a Three 6 Mafia fan would enjoy it. I look forward to seeing more of Mr Del and what he can do for the kingdom. Shari Addison..... LOVE HER!!! Her spirit is fantastic! And if you notice Mrs Addison done developed her fashion sense. Did you peep those jeans.... I don't think she ever wore pants when she was competing on Sunday Best (and I thought that was attributed to her beliefs). Kiera Sheard's segment was good also!

Hey I loved the idea of this show as well especially since there were alot of youth in the audience for a great purpose and yes they need to move the time slot. This may be a test run just to see how it'll work out, so it'll probably change just like Sunday Best moved to Sunday nights and not week nights or Sunday morning re-runs like it was last time. Mr. Del is a great example to alot of young men in the world and I'm glad he made a transition to God. Now Mrs. Shari! She can blow and has been for years. I've known her all of my life and she is bubbly, FUN-UN-KNEE (funny), and all that because that's who she is. She is also 1 person who has lived her entire life for God. What she sings about is truly who and WHOSE she is. As far as the pants deal, Shari wears pants all the time, lol. It has nothing to do with her religion or whatever. She is very stylish and has very good taste in clothes and SHOES! (btw: there were only 2 outfits on the entire show that didn't belong to her, the purple dress on "When the Saints Go to Worship" and the brown dress on "Talk it Over with Jesus". The red dress she wore for the finale show, YES ITS HERS! So sista girl gots mad skills on the clothes! LOL)
