BREAKING NEWS (cuz y’all know I don’t be posting new stuff this late at night)…
Word has it that BET has decided to discontinue production of 106 & Gospel. 
This is not officially confirmed, but I was informed of the network’s plans by an INCREDIBLY reliable source.
I sure hope it’s not true, cuz I love the show.
And if it is true… have y’all gone mad?! And does this mean I have to go back to watching Video Gospel?! 
I wonder if there is something we can do? Like do you think we (read: YOU EJ) rally people through your site and others to petition BET to keep it on the air? Let them know its important to have this kind of programming as a balance to what they've got? I know I'm just one person, but I'd sign a petition! :)
WoW, the news kinda hits me 2 different ways b/c one side of me feels like i'm not surprised, it was only a matter of time b/c some of the reviews that i have been reading about it have been pretty much bashing the show and the other side is the show was actually starting to grow on me... i always had to DVR it b/c im still in church at noon but wow, so does this mean more video gospel??? im surprised that's still hanging around... they still be showing John P Kee "Stand" video from like 91' lol (great song btw)
I knew it was coming!! Hate it...but a show for church peeps can't be on sunday at NOON!! It was set up to fail from jump...but if that petition thing does surface...me and my crew are signing it...I'm for the gospel..all the way!!
No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this cant be true..i love the show..plus my friend is the host lol...no no no !! can we boycott or sumthin lol...despite the fact that it comes on at noon it does come back on at 10pm so either u watch it at 12 noon and be happy or watch it at 10pm and be happy...i love it so i hope this is just a nasty rumor about it being taken off the air......oh yea....if u dont have 21:03s new cd TOTAL ATTENTION..GO GET IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL.

I think BET's image is just not one that can fully support the 106&Gospel show in addition to all the other Sunday Morning shows. They've always shown Video gospel and Bobby Jones and those have won the support of even some in the older crowd. But I'm not sure if there are enough supporters of a rap/hip hop version of 106&Park drew the necessary audience.

If this is true, this is a trick of the enemy. The enemy saw the positive effect it has on our young people and is doing his best to bring it to a screeching hault.....Video Gospel just aint cuttin it no more. Between them showing old videos and homegrown artists, that's an hour of pure boredom. No offense to anyone, that's just my opinion.
I hope it's not true because the generations was getting expose to different types of gospel. Now, I believe that should air the show more than just on Sunday, maybe during the week sometimes. I was happy to see Donald Lawrence on the show recently.

OMG! Are you kidding me right now. This cant be happening. I love that show cause thats really one of the only things i look at on BET. Please do not cancel it cuz everytime Jesus is being lifted up. the devil got to come up some way and try to ruin things and here it is. KEEP THE GOSPEL ALIVE!
