To me, this was one of the greatest performances at this year’s Stellar Awards… all of us in the audience were on our feet, celebrating the great legacy of gospel music from Rev. Timothy Wright.
Kirk Franklin led the tribute, which also featured Myrna Summers and Rev. Milton Biggham. Enjoy:

Kirk did a excellent job with this tribute. The stellar awards is still on my dvr because of this performance. I was wondering if you was going to post this.
CLASSIC!!!
Phenomenal... Rev. Wright will be missed, but not forgotten.
That is the Hottness!! We're praying for the wright family....Take Rest in God Pastor Wright!!
This was by far the best performance that night! I got to be honest, I was a lil concerned at first to see what Kirk would do, but he did Rev Wright justice!!! Props!
That truly is classic! My choir still rocks "Trouble don't last always." Love and miss Rev. Wright.
One word....awesome!!!!!
Trouble Don't Last Always is nostalgic for me. I am wondering about some things, though. At the Stellar Awards, we prayed and believed that God would bring Rev. Wright into healing. What happens when we name it and claim it but it doesn't happen as we planned it? What do we say to his family? What do we say to the non-Christians who were there and wondering what we were doing? Some Christians would say we didn't have enough faith, but would we really tell his grieving family that?
