And I don’t mean that they’re not vocally able to do it– but folks like Daryl Coley riff cuz they FEEL it. You can’t replicate it simply by running up and down some scales– it’s an expression, not a musical task to be completed…

Whoa--you went way back to WOW '98! But this is a great CD and this song is so on point (flat notes and all). Darryl Coley is in a different category. He is OG (original gospel) if you will. To this day 'When Sunday Comes' is still one of my favorite songs on my workout playlist. Am I the only one that works out to gospel? Anyway. This songs just takes me to a place in my worship that not many songs can. Thanks for reminding us of this one EJ.
Daryl Coley is amazing and I still get chills when I listen to this song. He is one of my biggest influences as a singer.
I love Tamarra's title of OG for Darryl. LOL! Yes, Darryl is so inspiring! You can really tell a difference when people riff cause they feel it than when it just sounds good. Oh my goodness - I used to love me some Darryl. "Sovreign" was one of my favorites by him.
