In my humble opinion, New Direction is one of the most underrated new choirs around. Hailing out of Chicago, one of the GREATEST choir cities in the world (and I’m not just saying that cuz it’s my hometown), New Direction is influenced by years of tradition, but boasts a new and relevant sound. In short: they’re no joke.
One of my fave tracks from them is “New Direction,” cuz it’s got that classic Chicago choir sound to it (and I’m a choir guy waaaaaay deep down in my heart). It’s a YouTube deal, but it’s just audio… sorry. Still, enjoy!
KILLER, right?!
And be on the lookout for a new project from them, entitled Destiny, on JUNE 23rd!

I agree that they're underrated but they're not new. That's all.
I agree that they are really underrated. It's one of the best youthful choirs on the scene to me because they make the true choir sound relative.
Yea this is one of the baddest youth choirs since Walt Whitman and the Soul Children came on the scene.
Talkin bout underrated. WALTER!!!
@shane OK?!
@Ray--way to give props to WW&SC (I ran with them waaaaay back in the day). That's when I first met Kim McFarland. Which brings me to my next point... @EJ--I have to agree that Chicago Choirs are just the best and I'm not saying that because I'm from Chicago either (hehehe) But honestly EJ New Direction, Shekinah Glory, or The Tommies? There's so many Chicago Choirs...who's your FAV??
