THIS dude is a great artist. You’ve heard me mention J.R. before (click here to see my recap from the Urban Soul Cafe event during the Stellar Awards weekend).
This single, “Not A Slave,” from J.R.’s most recent album, Life By Stereo, has done very well in the industry, even earning a Dove Award nomination for Urban Recorded Song.
And here’s the video for it– good concept, full of energy and tastefully produced. It’s simple enough, which is refreshing, but still grabs your attention.

wow, I actually like that song; go figure; lol. His style sorta reminded me of this other group that I got hip to called Group 1 Crew. You should check them out on youtube as well.
JR is one of my favorite artist! he is one of those gospel artist who is very very talented and should get more recognition. His 1st cd "Metamorphosis" was off the hook, and his latest album was just as great if you get a chance you should cop those off of itunes ASAP you won't be disappointed at all!
