Word Has It: Gospel Dream Tapings

Word has it that Gospel Music Channel is taping episodes of its hit gospel talent search, Gospel Dream, as we speak!

I hear there are several changes from last season, including the line-up of judges.  Apparently, they’ve got Michelle Williams (of Destiny’s Child and beyond) as one of the judges!

More updates to come as I hear about ‘em…

Michelle? Why? Out of all the people and artists they can pick from. She may blend well if they still have J Moss. Michelle is a clown, but I still question the decision.

Ok, whats with the sudden inclusion of mainstream artists doin the judging for gospel centered contests? They are doing the same for that other new show "Clash of the Choirs" that is suppose to air this Sunday if Im not mistaken. They will have Patti Labelle(well she can slide maybe), one of the former Backstreet Boys memebrs (name slips me), and 1 or 2 more.

I was appalled at the judges this year. After watching the previous shows we expected to be judged on talent and anointing. After all, it is suppose to be GOSPEL right? Not so, the judges were rude and just downright ugly to some of the contestants. I watched contestants come out of the judging room crying because of the hateful and ugly comments made to them. These people were the cream of the crop! They were all special and talented. I was there all day listening to them sing. They were all awesome. I am so thankful that they weren't ugly to my daughter, I don't know how I would have reacted! My feeling is; Don't put GOSPEL in the title if it is just another talent contest. It's hypricritical. Michelle Williams has turned back to POP. She should not be judging anything to do with Gospel. Have you seen her videos? Lets get real here. Christian artists should protest the show.

Ok, not fond of the Michelle Williams choice. I'm not as fired up as Deb though, lol. Michelle appears to have a wonderful personality, and although she's doing pop, she was raised in the church. My problem is her music credibility. No one could hate on anything the judges said on Sundays Best because all of them are mad respected in the industry, and can sing and write. Even with how crazy Simon Cowell talks, everyone knows that he does have an ear for talent and his track record speaks for itself. With Michelle, that respect & music credibility just isnt there. I aint mad at her though, keep making that money!

Guess she decided to come back to gospel after that flopped album...i like it but I always thought she should have sticked with gospel

Wow.. talk about being a judgmental Christian. She used her celebrity to touch others with her first two albums. Just because she sings POP doesn't mean anything what-so-ever. It's about how you live your life, not what videos you make.

What are you thinking? Don't screw Michelle Please. She's a very nice and talented women, and she started her solo project with TWO wonderful gospel album. (It's an other question that She's Tried her lucky in other way.) I think She will be a good judge, ***EDITED***. God wants this and made this and You should be glad and receive his decision. God bless all.
