Word Has It: Jonathan Nelson Moving To FL

Word has it that Jonathan Nelson and his family are moving to Ft. Lauderdale, FL, where he will join Faith Center International.

Don’t think he’s leaving Baltimore without a bang, though.  According to The Belle Report, Pastor Jamal Bryant and Empowerment Temple are throwing him a star-studded, sure-to-be-bananas farewell concert on Sunday, May 31st.  The event will feature performances from Karen Clark-Sheard, Tye Tribbett, JJ Hairston & Youthful Praise, VaShawn Mitchell, Chrystal Rucker, Stephen Hurd and more.

Now, THAT’S a farewell concert.  Geeeeeeez…

Wow! Can't say if its true or not, but I heard Justin Savage transitioned to another church as well.

Justin Savage is directing music programs at Mt. Ennon Baptist Church in Clinton, MD. It's a great look for him! http://www.mtennon.org/index.php

Hey.....sad to lose Jonathan out of BMore...but God's moving him on. I mean, he was one of the best artists we've had coming out of there. It would be nice if he could stay, but I wish him blessings! He has blessed me time and time again with his music. I mean...this is definitely not unheard of. Before Jonathan became the music minister at Empowerment, there was considerable talk of Ricky Dillard coming to Bmore....so somehow they make it work.
