Goodies: Timiney & Anaysha

Timiney Figueroa-Caton and Anaysha Figueroa are sisters with similar tones, but each brings something unique to the table… rather, to the STAGE.

Most folks know Timiney from her classic work with Hezekiah Walker & LFC (“Calling My Name”) and, most recently, with the Kurt Carr SingersAnaysha’s just as busy– she sings with Kirk Franklin and has done several awesome guest spots (plus, I’ve been a fan since she sang “Lullaby Of Broadway” on the old skool film Life With Mikey).

Here’s a clip of them singing “Calling My Name”… great, heartfelt, worshipful…

Whatd’ya think???

Timminey reminds me of Charrisse Nelson-McIntosh from Richard Smallwood's group from back in the "Thank You" days. Love both of them. The sisters together are special.

I watched this video last week and I've watched it about 8 times today. WONDERFUL!

ONE QUESTION.... where is Anaysha's album? I been waiting for that since the first time I heard her at LaGuardia High School in NYC over eight years ago!

I love these sisters from NY! I want to meet them so this anointing can fall on me too.

The more I watch them sing this song, the more I desire a cd featuring both of them singing together. I am also getting happy here at work. lol!

I know Timiney has some tracks on youtube that are supposed to be on an independent album. Some are called "I Will Come and Bow Down", "Morning Into Dancing/ Lord You're Worthy of My Praises", "He is Exalted", and "For Me". They should be on youtube and/or imeem. Anaysha has a slew of guest spots but she recently recorded a mixtape called "Sisters in the Spirit" with Cherub Ruth (another awesome vocalist). I think you have to go to New Life in Brooklyn or ask someone affiliated with the church to purchase it though. But if you look up anaysha on youtube there are a ton of vids of her singing from the event.
