EJ--this sounds really good, but with such a bumper crop of them, it seems like they are great networking tools, but BETTER money-making initatives for the founders? For this one you pay $250.00 registration (for the full package)/$109.00 per night room rate, get there and then you have to eat and be cute. So for almost a grand you'll get to network. There are some huge names associated so don't get me wrong, but sometimes you just have to wonder is it worth it? Thoughts?

I'm confident people will find this event to be different than that which you describe. Profit certainly isn't the goal of this project, as it is priced more than reasonably compared to other events of this kind, just $99 for 2 days of workshops and classes, and registration was specifically limited to create an intimate environment. Dr. Carter, the event's founder, is truly trying to "pay it forward" through this event and designed it give others an opportunity to learn about, and grow within, the industry. Each of the presenters, including some of the biggest executives and entertainers in the business, shares this vision. Being cute is optional, an interest in the business and a desire to succeed is all that is required. I'm confident that those who choose to join us will leave for informed, empowered, and inspired; we work each day leading up to the event to make this so. @David Hutchinson--- Thank you for your perspective. It is good to know that profit isn't the goal. It seems that with so many opportunities, it's hard to determine. For those that want to attend, it still doesn't give ALOT of time to prepare for the event financially. I'll say that if I lived in the immediate area, I would give greater consideration and had more time to put funds together. As it stands, I am in another part of the country. I believe it will be successful for attenders and promoters.
