Kierra Sheard will be acting in the upcoming major motion picture, Preacher’s Kid, due in theaters on October 31st. The film stars LeToya Luckett (R&B solo artist and former member of Destiny’s Child) and tells the story of a prodigal daughter.
It actually looks like it’ll be pretty entertaining and uplifting, so I’m definitely gonna check it out. Watch the trailer here:

so wait... bishop got mad cause she wanted to travel with a GOSPEL stage play? And uh... haven't we seen this movie? Exit LeToya and bring in Boris circa 2005 (The Gospel). But yes, EJ, it does look semi entertaining so i will rent it. ;-)
lol @me: "so I will rent it" The preview gave way too much of the movie away there's really no need to see it now. I'm sure I could tell you everything that's going to happen just by the preview. These types of movies have been done so many times before..... I am very happy for KiKi Sheard, but don't think I'll be checking out the movie til they show it on bet.
I think I will have to agree with "me" and "luda"; not one I'll be in a hurry to go and see; from the looks of it they pretty much gave the ending away unless the bishop suddenly dies at the end or some other big dramatic situtation that may set us up for a part 2 of this movie.

Ok, I thought it was just me when I saw this trailer. I agree that this looks too much like "The Gospel". No offense, but this is something I'll wait until it comes on TV.
The guy wanted Kiki to sing the song the way Letoya Luckett sang it? Umm...yep, this is not based on a true story!
The trailer gave to much information but I will go to the movie to see just for support.

Looks interesting, thanks for info. Kind of excited b/c Kierra Sheard is in it but the preview did look like the whole movie. It's true what they say, just give a little bit and leave the rest to the imagination. We will see once it gets closer. I hope Kierra has a lot of air time in it. I think we want to see more of her.
