The Charts: Pugh Bounces Back & Sheri Jones-Moffett Debuts Well

Well, would you look at that?  This week, Earnest Pugh bounced back to the top 5 from the #34 slot, landing at #4 on Billboard’s Gospel Albums chart.

Mary Mary and Israel Houghton remain at the #1 and #2 slots, respectively, while WOW Gospel 2009 climbed from #4 to #3 and Lee Williams & The Spiritual QC’s dropped from #3 to #5.

Finally, major kudos and congrats to Sheri Jones-Moffett!  She entered at #6 on the charts… a very impressive solo debut.  Get that album!

Kerry Douglas sure knows how to work those numbers.

Zep, Exactly what are you proposing with your comment about "Kerry Douglas working numbers?" Be careful my friend. When your season comes you will receive some of the same hateration and you may or may not be able to take it. Can't we just watch God do what he wants to do in the life of Elder Pugh. It's the people with NO record deal and NO clue as to what happens in the industry who do all the hating and it's sad. Secular artists are much more encouraging and glad to see others make it. Find something positive to say would you?

Sheri Jones Moffett's cd is simply awesome just like I expected. There is something on there for every gospel lover. It's in heavy rotation in my car. Her voice is delicious. Her background singers are bananas. If you have not purchased her CD, you are sleeping or in a coma. Each cut is just crazy.
