I luv kiki but...she needs more new material on that cd
I got Karima's and love it....Tarralyn's in on the way in the mail...don't think imma purchase kiki's, she has too many of the same songs on there that I already have...
I got Karima and Tarralyn Ramesey's new cd.They both are really on point.I'm especially feelin Karima's album,in my opinion it's the best album of 2009.Oh yeah I just bought Fred Hammonds new album "Love Unstoppable" and it's already a classic in my book,he really outdid his self on this record.
Karima--long-awaited?? i'm just hearing about it! lol gonna have to check it out..
Kierra's cd seems like a repackage. As far as a remixes go the one or two remixes could have been hidden on the orignal release of her previous project. I would prefer the live version of "Why me" instead. As for the others they are a must have. Im really exited about Karima she has been a leader from day one lol. Although i may be the only one but I am still anticipating the next Kim Burrell release i am sure it will be a killer equal to Everlasting Life. Im sorry I had to throw that in there.
Well I am a Kiki fan! Actually I am just a big Clark fan! I love that family. I listened to the snippets on Amazon, and the new songs sound nice. I really like "Teach me" and "This Christmas". Thanks for the news EJ.
yea the Kiki mixtape is repackaged, marketing idea, but i'll be anticipating her next full album i'll buy that one...but that Karima ... people need to cop this, this album is blazin for real
I think calling Kiki's Mixtape "repackaged" may not be the best way to look at it. Mixtapes are usually collections of one's favorite songs and/or are meant to serve as a portfolio of present artistic concepts, as well as a showcase of things to come. In that vein, I think Kiki's Mixtape accomplishes that. It's a great mixture of songs -- songs we know well, new takes on songs we know, and completely new tracks. I see it as reminiscent of Kiki's "Just Until..." Most of that disc was stuff we knew, but it still had some blazin' mixes, and is definitely a great addition to your gospel collection. I would say the same about Kiki's Mixtape. Kiki's unique approach to ministry is the concept that comes through the loudest. In a short period of time she's developed an impressive Urban/Contemporary Gospel repertoire. I'm excited to see what she does next... On a different note, am also loving Karima's album. But, with a disc this good, what does that mean for Virtue? LOL I'm hoping they're not through yet... About Tarralyn... Don't have it -- yet. I wish it was available for MP3 download. In fact, I wish more gospel artists made their music available for MP3 dowloads. We can't even say it's the "future" anymore... It's here TODAY. [p.s. To my gospel artists: When you do make your music available for download, please also include liner notes. It's becoming more common, but it would be great if more artists did it.]
wow I definitely didn't know virtue had a solo member now.. I promise their last album was one of my favorite gospel albums ever! I'm a mary mary fan, but I haven't even really enjoyed their last two albums yet Virtue's was amazing. Contemporary/Urban gospel is very hit and miss these days..
I am loving the Karima album. Simply blown away. I LOVE it! I am so glad that I ordered thanks to the positive feedback on this site. What an amazing album. The KiKi one is nxt, Im a big fan so I have to support regardless.
