Survey Said: BET

For real?  It was close, but I didn’t really think it was gonna be…

Which TV network shows your favorite gospel programming?

BET – 50 votes (30%)

Gospel Music Channel – 48 votes (29%)

The Word Network – 45 votes (27%)

TBN – 17 votes (10%)

Other – 6 votes (4%)

I’m assuming that the votes for BET were cast on the strength of Bobby Jones Gospel and Sunday Best because you all have been rather vocal about your disinterest in some of their other shows.

I voted for Gospel Music Channel because I like the abundance of original programming that they feature (or used to, at least).  What are your thoughts???

For those of you who voted “Other,” which networks do you have in mind???

Thanks, as always, for voting.  Make sure you head over to the sidebar to vote in the newest poll, which asks…

Which MARY MARY album is your favorite???

interesting. I'm really hoping BET Gospel or some similar network comes back because there's potential in BET Gospel if it's taken out of the "Nobody's watching" time slot.

I just moved into my new place and was excited to get digital cable because finally I can get Gospel Music Channel. I chose Time Warner because they had GMC but didn't have TV One. So a sacrifice was made. I think I made the wrong choice. GMC has been a huge disappointment. Reruns of Amen, Sister Sister. What!!! Come on GMC. I need something. Honestly I don't have a TV network that shows my favorite gospel programming. They all need to step it up. I appreciate that they support Gospel, but overall a complete overhaul is needed.

I like the GMC but i liked it better when they had the good shows like The Kitchen Sink, Hot list, Faith & Fame (new episodes every week), Hometown Gospel, and Front Row Live. I'm not feeling the new the line up. And BET has really fell short b/c they always seem to have the same artist on all the time. And most of them haven't had cd's out in like 3 years or more. I think all of them need to step up their game real fast.

I enjoy the Word Network especially during my Bedside Baptist days. None like it. Straight church all day.
