The Charts: JJ Hairston & YP Enter At #4, Vickie Winans Takes #1

Youthful Praise feat. JJ Hairston - Resting On His PromiseCongrats to JJ Hairston & Youthful Praise, who debuted at #4 on Billboard’s Gospel Album chart.  This is the highest charting album debut for the group since their first major release in 2002.  Great job, guys!

Also, Vickie Winans swaps with J Moss for the #1 spot (congrats to the “hardest working woman in gospel”!), and J Moss moves to #2.

Gospel duo Mary Mary follows at #3, while Earnest Pugh is chillin’ at #5.

That’s a cool top  5.  I wanna also point out that Vicki Yohe has jumped from #32 to #8… dunno why such a huge increase, but kudos to you, too!  I reviewed that project at the end of June… you have that album yet?

I am loving the new Vickie Winans song, "How I Got Over". It's contemporary but yet traditional.

YTF new cd is nice, I am loving #4. I was surprise to heat Trent Cory "Awesome Wonder". I need to check out this Vickie Yohe cd.

I was very shocked by Vicki Yohe's jump to the top 10 as well. I know she is rejoicing...its a great project. Wow James Roberson dropped from #2 to # 24...big dip
