Video Pick: Destiny Praise – "Changed"

WATCH THIS VIDEO. And I’m not playin’.

First, lemme say that I typically don’t want anyone to remake Hawkins tunes… just prolly won’t do a good enough job for my liking.  But indie ensemble Destiny Praise tastefully remakes the classic hit “Changed” in a way that deserves MAJOR kudos.

Further, this video is one of the most creative and well-executed videos I’ve seen from an independent artist in a verrry long time, if ever.  The concept is refreshing and, by the end, I found myself worshipping God for the “changes” He made in MY life.  Destiny Praise has done a phenomenal job of visually displaying the lyrics/theme of the song.

Check it out and lemme know what you think!

I love the video concept and how they gave this classic a modern make over. My only disappointment were the lead vocals. If you're going to remake a Hawkins record and a classic at that its imperative that you have someone with chops to give the song its respect IMO

Awesome remake! I actually have to say, the leads were more subdued, but I kind of like that they weren't trying to over step the original. Rather, they just tried to state the song in a new way. Really good pick EJ!

I have to honestly say that I was prepared to give it two thumbs down before I even listened to the first note because how can you improve a classic like Change. That song was already perfected by Walter and Tramaine Hawkins. This "new school" version has some really nice harmony, and I actually like it!! I don't know where you found this one EJ but you did real good.
