***EXCLUSIVE***
Word has it that BeBe Winans may not be returning to the third season of BET’s hit gospel talent competition Sunday Best.
In his place? What if I told you it might be Donnie McClurkin???
None of my contacts at BET could confirm or deny this report, but I didn’t make it up either…
Stay tuned for more info.
In the meantime, what would you say to that?

That would be a good look! BeBe was good. Donnie would be good too I think!

I think Bebe is too busy doing exclusives for Oprah. He’s on the lookout for the next best karaoke star. Bebe is moving on up. Unless BET is going to step up their game and start airing in High Def Bebe is out. But that’s just my opinion.

Naw, they got their tour coming up. It makes sense that he wouldn’t have the time to do the show. This album is kinda like a big deal, lol.
October 26th, 2009 on 3:46 pm
Yes, BeBe has a really big tour schedule for next month to promote he and CeCe’s new album. I’m sure it’s a bigger deal than being on the show for another season. After all, it’s been 15 years since they have had the pleasure to work with each other. I love, love, love the song “Grace.” It is sooooo very powerful. I wish them the best and be blessed!

I SAY THEY SHOULD SCRAP THE WHOLE SHOW! ITS CRAP
October 26th, 2009 on 3:55 pm
I think they should ask Donald Lawrence to host the show. Sorry but I’m a little tired of Donnie Mcclurkin. He host every gospel event. There are others out there who are talented and annointed. I don’t think that Donald get the recognition he deserves. He wonderful and extremely HUMBLE. I guess that’s the southern boy in him. lol

You sure you don’t mean Kirk Franklin Kia? (refering to the host comment) I believe Donald Lawrence would make a good judge in Bebe’s stead, however I do love my Donnie!!!!

I guess bebe is moving up, but I always felt he was very honest judge, and hopefully whoever replaces him will tell the TRUTH and not sugarcoat it. I wouldn’t mind Donald being a judge because has done wonders with with previous contestants and he just knows how to pull the best out of people. Thats my thoughts.

I think Donald Lawrence would be perfect to be a judge.
October 26th, 2009 on 7:21 pm
Donnie McClurklin wouldn’t be a bad replacement. I mean its sad to see BeBe leaving but….you gotta do what you gotta do, so no problems here on Donnie McClurkin stepping in, also, Donald already does the musical part of the show, with the arrangements and everything.

bebe winans is such a a great spirit. i appreciate the fact that he has set a presedence of excellence, honesty, and tact as a judge. whether pastor donnie or donald lawrence either will serve well in his stead. i want to suggest considering guest judges for a period - beginning with melonie daniels, kim burrell, and/or vicki winans (rotating, of course).
October 26th, 2009 on 7:53 pm
I think donald Lawrence is better being the coach and mentor for the singers, more os than a judge.
I’d love to see Kim Burrell as a judge, she’d tell you straight up.
But I like the Donnie idea as well.
October 26th, 2009 on 7:55 pm
i agree, I think we it gets down to like the finals [the final 5 or show] until the end they should add on a weekly quest judge for a fresh new ear, in addition to the regulars. That would be nice.

Hey…Never use to watch this show…but now that Donnie will be there
I will definately tune in.Donnie is a great replacement.Viewers will tune in to watch Donnie.
October 26th, 2009 on 8:04 pm
I have another suggestion for guest judges: One of my favorite group in the WHOLE world: The Clark Sisters! They are all qualified to serve as judges on Sunday’s Best!
October 26th, 2009 on 9:48 pm
I think Donald would be an excellent judge. He knows music and will be able to tell them what they did right and wrong musically. Plus I agree with whoever said that he knows how to pull the talent out of you. I like Donnie, but I too am a little tired of him. It’s bad enough that Kirk is the host. Let’s see some other artists do more things. I also agree that Kim Burrell would be great.

I think that Donald Lawrence should keep coaching, he does an excellent job of that. I also think he is still doing “How sweet the sound”. Donnie McClurkin is a pastor and a radio show host, let someone else have a job. unemployment will never go down if the same 5 people take all the jobs! lol. Bebe will be missed, I think he was honest and mellowed out the Marys. (as much as he could)
October 27th, 2009 on 10:03 am
Sorry, I know this sounds mean but I wouldn’t have minded if Tina (red haired Mary) was the one not coming back. As far as Donnie McClurkin, again - new blood! I wish the producers of these gospel shows would get a hint that folks are tired of the same 5 acts at every event. It’s like….are these the only gospel artists equipped and anointed? As someone else mentioned, I like the idea of guest judges.
October 27th, 2009 on 10:09 am
Im with Tamarra, Bebe will be workin with Oprah with the next best karaoke Star….She mentioned it when they were on her show Friday…plus he and Cece will also be touring as well…
October 27th, 2009 on 10:23 am
I agree with the guest judge sentiment!! I personally would love to see one or all of the Clark Sisters in said capacity!!
October 27th, 2009 on 2:31 pm
I like the idea of guest judges. But I also think it would be fun if people who are viewers of the show get a chance to come and judge a round. We know what sounds good too.
October 28th, 2009 on 5:08 pm
i would like donnie to be on the show. i wonder if the mary’s are going to be ok. Tina just had a baby and erica is going to be due around the time they taped the show last year.

it has been confirmed. Bebe is gone and donnie is in
