Though BeBe & CeCe Winans remain at the top spot with their reunion project, Still, a couple of new projects debuted in the top 5 of Billboard’s Gospel Albums chart this week.
The Whispers debut gospel project, Thankful, enters the marketplace at the #3 position, moving Mary Mary’s album, The Sound, to the #4 slot.
Finally, the newest project from The Anointed Pace Sisters, Access Granted, debuted at #5 on the sales chart, bumping Hezekiah Walker’s Souled Out to the #6 position.
Love Unstoppable, the newest project from Fred Hammond, remains at the #2 spot. Vickie Winans’ How I Got Over drops from #4 to #12.
I do not have the new project from The Whispers, but with production from Fred Hammond, it’s probably got some good tracks on there.
What I DO have, however, is this Pace Sisters project and it’s got some reeeaaaaallly awesome production (Asaph Ward), good songwriting, and tight vocals and harmonies. Hadn’t planned to review it, but they’ve swayed me. Stay tuned for it…
Anybody pick up The Whispers’ or The Anointed Pace Sisters’ projects?

As a Whispers fan from back in the day, I picked up their CD and I must say that it is absolutely beautiful. The production, vocals, writing and arrangements are outstanding. I love the whole CD, but my favorite is "One More Chance." Whatever your musical taste, The Whispers are a class act and offered up some silky smooth soul of worship and thanks to God for all he has done in their lives. I highly recommend it. Kudos to Fred Hammond and the Whispers for doing such a fantastic job!
As a Whispers lover, this is definitely a treat! Soulful Worship...I believe this will be one of my favs for a long time.
Got the Pace Sisters album the day it dropped, and I must say the CD is awesome. I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it is. Like EJ said it has "good songwriting, and tight vocals and harmonies." Asaph Ward is a great producer. I believe it is a must have for all Pace Sisters fans. If you liked Return, you'll defiantly love this album!
The Pace Sisters' new cd, "Access Granted," is a phenomenal project. These sisters worship in spirit and truth! I've enjoyed (and have been blessed) by their ministry for a long time and God is still doing a mighty work through them. I have had the CD in heavy rotation since its release. With this CD the sisters let you know that you have "access" to God as well as His provisions for healing, protection and prosperity. The harmonies are beyond tight and the music is on point. My standout tracks: "A Friend," "Finally" (awesome remake), "Jesus Will," "It's My Time To Be Blessed," "Seed of Righteousness," "Get In His Presence," and "If I Be Lifted Up." Ok, maybe I should have simply said I love the entire cd! It's absolute FIRE! I also ordered the DVD and have been stalking my mailbox waiting on its arrival.
@Ronald, we're feelin the same songs lol. I love this Pace Sisters album wow. Leslie sang for blood on "Jesus Will" and Latrice's "Seed of Righteousness" needs to be on radio pronto. It good to see the sisters partake in songwriting (not sure if they did on previous cds). I really have no complaints w/this album. I'm glad I can finally match each sister name with a face lol. I always felt that the Pace Sisters get overlooked by church folk. I don't see why lol. I asked a friend why and he said "cause they aren't the Clarks". SMH! Go Pace women!
@Ronald & @Sean, we are definitely feeling the same projects. Ok, to be totally honest, this is the first TAPS cd I've bought. And seriously, I didn't know too much about their music until I met Latrice while working on Donald Lawrence's Law of Confession project. I started looking people up and found a clip of them performing "It's Already Done" and "Contentment" on youtube. I had made up my mind to get the album and I did so the day it came out. The production on this stuff is awesome. Treecie sang her tail off on "Seed", "Someday", and "If I Be Lifted Up" and Leslie took me right to church with "Jesus Will". But all of these songs took me there. They also feature their nephew on "Rain Always", which is a nice groove song. Definitely worth a review and their charting. GO TAPS!!!
