Last year, my wife and I went to Lincoln Center to see Kim Burrell perform in a Christmas concert that would’ve made you SCREAM. Her vocals were as great as you’d probably imagine, but what stood out were the ARRANGEMENTS of classic Christmas songs into jazzy tunes with mesmerizing vamps and… well, read the recap from last year if you want the details.
As she mentioned in my interview with her, she’s doing the concert again this year! The dates are set and tickets are on sale now.
If you are, or can be, ANYWHERE near Manhattan on December 11th or 12th, I strongly encourage you to grab tickets to this event. It’s enough to make me wanna catch a flight…

There's actually a competition she's doing in her conference in NY in December that gives you or your group a chance to perform with her at the Christmas Concert. It's on the conference website at www.ephesians4.net
I'm laughing at the Lincoln Center website announcement. They called her the "divine diva of gospel." Watch out. And the pic they choose. Somebody put a "S" on her chest! She looks like Superwoman. LOL
I’m overjoyed to see her. I found Kim from listening to one of Missy’s hidden tracks “Higher Ground” and then researched Kim on you tube. I fell in love (and I mean IN LOVE) about 6 months ago. I credit myself on being an appreciator of beautiful music and I listen to an eclectic and diverse amount. I’ve seen a thousand + shows in my life and I’m only 27. I am SO excited. I’m going alone, as I’d prefer to witness her without disturbance…and I want to ask you, were you able to meet her? How strict were they on cameras? Thank you and Happy Holidays!
