I was in a nostalgic mood this morning and I stumbled upon this video of a classic Kirk Franklin & The Family performance…
Figured I can’t possibly be the only person for whom this song/video brings back memories! I listen to this song and can remember being a member of the Soul Children of Chicago, riding on a bus to some performance, and hearing members of the choir singing this song in the back of the bus… freestyling like choir folks do. LOL
Here’s “Let Me Touch You (See If You Are Real)” from Kirk’s Whatcha Lookin’ 4 album. What memories does it stir up for you?

This is a good one! Study for exams in undergrad with the volume at 49.... worship OR study and/OR go deaf?!
6th grade, singin with my friends after school in latchkey!
High School...taught it to the gospel choir during black history month!
YO!! EJ, I did the exact same thing today. Except I listened to "Love" and "Jesus Paid It All" Oh my! Kirk actually LED that song! After that, I went and listened to John P. Kee ' I Do Worship" and "Jesus is Mine" Yessss, there must be a throwback Spirit in the air today! LOL! Thanks!
Thanks for sharing this video....ANOINTING!!!!
Ole' School KF and The Family ALWAYS brings up great memories of traveling on a bus w/ choir folks. This brings up fantastic memories for me. I rocked this tape hard in my car in high school. Yeah, it definitely made it to the car.
This was one of my favorite albums. I love the dvd though because its unedited versus the cd. I was just watching this last week. Wow Kirk speaks in tougues...
