Yesterday, Verity Records released the video footage of Marvin Sapp singing his instant-hit single “The Best In Me,” at his recent live recording in Grand Rapids, MI.
I’m assuming this is the “official video,” so don’t go waiting for a storyline and fancy digital effects on Video Gospel.
In any case, I think it’s more than sufficient– it captures the energy of that moment (you can review my recap of that night) and does it what does.
Check it out:
Let me know what you think!

Im Glad that this is a instant hit!!! I was surprised how popular this song is!!
i think i may be the only person that doesnt like this song... i love the lyrics dont get me wrong but the melody i cant get wit but pray this song takes pastor sapp to new heights

I love this song, Marvin did it again!
Once again for those Two People that I have seen that Don't Like this Song By Pastor Sapp. Your time and Your season has NOT came yet and that is Why you both Don't like this Song. But I PROMISE YOU BOTH IN THE NAME OF JESUS!!!! Should You both Keep on Living on this Earth!!! You will see that this is a WORD from the Lord to Minister to those that Know what it is All About to Go through and KNOW that GOD!!!!(Not your Mother, your Father, Your Girlfriend, Your Best Friend or Your Boyfriend) is the ONLY ONE that CAN SEE THE BEST IN YOU whenever One Else Around Could ONLY SEE THE WORST IN YOU!!!! My God, My God! Someone Praise Him In the Midst of these Two and Pray for them that Gods Grace and Mercy Will Continue to Keep thinking that this is NOT FOR THEM!!!! Cause as I Said You Keep Living and YOUR TIME IS COMING!!!!
I can't see anyone not liking or agreeing with this song. I think it will grow on you. I simply LOVE IT AND I FEEL BLESSED everytime I hear it. I am happy Marvin is able to have another hit. Another great season Pastor.!!!
Here I go.... This song: all the elements of a hit based on the message and the melody. Will people connect to it? Sure, but possibly not at the same level as Pastor Sapp's mega-hit. Why? because it doesn't seem to have the depth as "Never Would Have Made It". Remember how Sapp said that song came out: When THREE(?) of his closest male/father figures passed around the same time. That song was birthed out of pain/healing. What (pain) or situation was this song birthed from? I'm not trying to be deep but I'm just saying that people connect to the authenticity of a song.
If you have lived at all this song should minister to your soul. I thank God he gave this song to Mr. Sapp. The first time I heared this song was on the Gospel Music Awards. I was in my bedroom and the next thing I knew I was shouting and crying. Every lyric in this song is my lifes journey thus far. I will be buying this cd when it comes out in March. This song is my anthem. All I can say is keep living, keep living then you will get it.
How does someone saying they simply don't like a song or a melody go to them not bein as deep as you are or them not goin through anything so they don't "get it" like you do??? Maaaan, please. STOP IT.
Nia, if you were addressing my post: I NEVER win the game of comparative suffering so I do not gauge someone else's suffering as better or worse than my own. My response is based on a (gospel) music MARKETING STANDPOINT. In a word, the song is FORMULAIC. And a formulaic song can touch a person's heart and make them feel better about themselves and about their life on this planet. Nobody can be mad at that, at least not me. And I won't stop!
@Tam Tam-- LOL... she wasn't talking to you.
Sorry, EJ! LOL! (hangs head in prayer!) LOL!! Apologies, Nia.
I'm not surprised at how many people like this song or that it is an instant hit. That was to be expected following all the hype and momentum from "Never Would Have Made It". I agree with Nia though, some of these comments sound very presumptive and borderline condescending. Nobody has demeaned his ministry or the anointing on his life. Some people just don't care for the song whether it be from a musical standpoint or whatever else. That's it.
geez some of yall are tooooo deep its not that serious AT ALL. i just dont like the melody calm down the world is not over
For those of you that Keep Addressing those of Us that are Trying to Help You with an Understanding of this Song and How it is a Song that Ministers to those that can See the Testimony Out of this Song. It is NOT a MATTER of Being DEEP it's about Living the Life that Pastor Sapp Is Singing about and How there are those of Us that Can Attest to What he is Singing and those that Are Honoring and Thanking the Lord for Allwoing One of His Many Vessels to Be a Blessing to the People of God Everywhere to Ease some of their Trial and Tribulations that they Go Through! Once again for ALL OF THOSE that KEEP YELLING STOPIT and STOP BEING SO DEEP!!! You Better PRAY that You Continue to Walk this Life Without the Trials and Tribulations so that YOU may NEVER know What this SONG IS REALLY ABOUT. But I PROMISE YOU THIS ON THIS DAY!!!! AS I SPEAK IT THROUGH THIS POST IN THE NAME OF JESUS!!!! KEEP ON LIVING AND YOU WILL RECEIVE JUST WHAT THIS SONG IS ALL ABOUT AND YOU WILL BE OON YOUR FACE CRYING OUT TO GOD Just Because of Each WORD in this SONG!!!! Lord I Thank You For Those that Hear You and Move to Do Your Work and Your Will to Bless those that Know YOU and Know that YOU ARE AN AWESOME GOD to Heal, Set Free and Deliver Like No Other*
I believe Marvin Sapp and this song is a blessing to the Body of Christ. I've read the comments and see there are some that can readily identify with this song and others that do not: whether it's from a Musical standpoint or otherwise. I will say that not every song will minister to everyone, just as not every minister can minister to everyone. I believe God gave him this song, not necessarily because he actually went through this but there may be one person that has and are literally on the verge of giving up on life but hears this and continue to press. I Corinthians 15:9 For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. 10But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
Marvin Sapp has done it again, He is so anointed, I love the song. I this thing sons tops "Never would have made it". This song can pull the sinners in just by the lyrics. Be encouraged guys when everyone sees the worst in you, God sees the best!
I tell you!!!When i say i luv this song!!!!O boi... did this one really hit home...Keep it going marvin, ATL!!!
When will this song become available to the public. I want to purchase it asap. I really enjoyed it. Let me know when it is coming out.
