My buddy, UK Gospel DJ and commentator Mike Rimmer, recently kicked it with Israel Houghton, Aaron Lindsey and Tommy Sims at Abbey Road Studios in London. *jealous*
Fortunately, he captured some footage of the creative process going into one of Israel’s new songs, called “Hosanna,” which should be featured on his upcoming project. No official release dates or info on it yet, but judging from this tune (and another song he was working on recently), I’m EAGER to hear this project whenever it hits.
Watch the video and pay attention to Mike Rimmer’s typed narration throughout it. And make sure you view the whole deal, cuz it features an interview between Mike and Iz at the end. Very cool!
Keep up with Mike Rimmer at http://www.facebook.com/rimmerama and on Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/rimmerama. He’s doing a great job covering the UK gospel scene and you don’t wanna miss a minute of it.
What do you all think of the new tracks???

This was so breathtaking. I love seeing the behind the scenes footage. The string section recording was very nice! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks EJ That was absolutely amazing on so many different levels. Israel is one of my favorite artists because of his genuine and sincere heart for worship. It was very intriguing to see a glimpse of the recording process, as that is something I'm looking to get into soon. I can't wait for a new project...although, it seems like "Power of One" just came out...LOL.
I would give anything just to be in that type of atmosphere. When Israel and New Breed came on the scene, it was like a breath of fresh air for my soul. Praise and worship elevated for me and my Christan walk deepened because of the Kingdom music that was birth through him and his group. This is going to be a blessed project as well that will be added to my collection. Thank you God for using a willing vessel like him to bless the masses! Cover his team and cover his family! Allow even moe ideas come forth for the Kingdom. Israel, we need more projects done for the children. Think about it!
AWW, I love being able to get an inside look at how this great music is created. Soooo awesome, can't wait to get it. The orchestra was amaazing. Just love it.
