It’s been said that Whitney Houston considers Kim Burrell’s voice to be “the greatest on the planet.” And I hear the singing was SO good that Whitney was on her feet goin’ crazy (insert NO jokes here, please… LOL).
The program airs on BET tonight at 9pm ET/8pm CST.

EJ, a brotha had his DVR set from early last week. lol. I heard from around the web that Kim blew BET honors out the water. Usually when these type of programs air a brotha like myself skips right over them, but when I heard Kim was gonna be on it, I had to set the DVR.

Ok... the LORD had mercy on me because I did find video of Kim's performance.... Love Kim, without question, but Whitney's reaction to finding out that the surprise guest would be Kim and her antics throughout the song was priceless. One great singer (Whit) appreciating another great (better) singer (Kim). But the end part when she's talk-singing to Whitney is what really moved me and reminded me that the Lord has anointed Kim Burrell to sing and be an exhorter. I hope she continues to use her gifts for good....
Im reminded why I consider her to be my favorite singer. Not simply because of the crazy runs, but her ability to interpret a song is second to none. The performance was amazing.

@Tam Tam, please, Kim is not a better singer than Kim. Her voice is hoarse and can't go places where Whitney's can. Kim's gift is her annointing- that is the difference. Just keeping it real. Having said that, I thoroughly enjoyed her performance and Whitney's reactions was real! It's great to see a popular singer not care how they are perceived , like Patti LaBelle when they are moved by something or someone. Loved it!

Well I'm late in just seeing the show last night on BET. Kim was AMAZing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know I'm off subject, but another standout for me was Jazmine (you betta SANG) Sullivan. She know she need to be in somebody's church SANGING. She was FANTASTIC!!! I had no idea her vocals were that SICK...............
