Word Has It: Isaac Carree Seeking Musical Help For His Project

Isaac Carree is working on his anticipated debut solo project, Uncommon Me.  He recently posted requests for musical submissions from producers, background singers and musicians on Blazetrak.

Essentially, Blazetrak connects artists and musicians with one another… kinda like a job matching service thingy.  Okay, that’s not the best description, but picture it– Susie wants two background vocalists, so she puts an ad on Blazetrak.  Jane wants to be a background vocalist reeeaaally badly and she submits her “audition” to Susie via Blazetrak.  Susie is blown away and hires Jane for the rest of her life.  Got it?  Cool.

So, check out Isaac’s page at http://blazetrak.com/isaaccarree… maybe we’ll see you on tour with him soon!

Anybody gonna give it a go???

Never heard of this, I like it. There is a good/bad side to something like this...... The good is if I can have my song heard by R.Jerkins or B. Michael Cox and they give me a video response, even if he says he doesnt like it, it's worth the money. The bad is what determines if you are a pro. Some of those people that are considered "pros" don't even have a deal so or a label so why pay for a critique from you if you're kind of in the same boat that the newcomer is.

I believe that it is a great idea!! I believe that the monetary charge is there is to show how serious you are about the audition. Also it eliminates alot of people who just send in alot of audition pieces and it's not top quality. We have watched American Idol before! They always have that blooper auditions that keep you laughing for years to come. Remember "Can you Dig It!" LOL! I would love to audition. I am looking into it.

I was skeptical at first too, so I just sent a msg to Isaac on Facebook asking how legit Blazetrak was..I also notice the other producers and execs on the site. Its not much gospel on their, but like Kimberly said, its about the investment you're willing to make for your career. I've been writing for a lot of years and mostly local people..that 'cute' and all, but it doesn't pay any bills. Depending upon how serious you are as a songwriter and the connections you do or don't have will help you make a decision. Also, A&R guru Monica Bacon is on there too. She is responsible for the a lot of Gospo Centric artist projects..her most recent project she was responsible for getting songs for Crystal Aiken's last project. I'll let you guys know what happens.

If you want someone to review your work and take you seriously, there will probably be fees. At least in this case the fees are upfront. Modeling agencies and art schools conduct a similar process. I love the idea and I want to audition, but I am taking graduate level courses right now. If this is available after graduation, I am going to have a blast submitting videos. I place some on my Facebook profile with no fee just for entertainment. So far, my reviews are very positive. I have also thoroughly enjoyed listening to all those creative versions of songs on YouTube. Some of the talent I have seen there is simply amazing. This is a great way for those people to hear the encouragement they need. It is simply wonderful, and so is Mr. Isaac Carree..WOW!
