Word Has It: PDA Of PAJAM Joins The Blazetrak Movement

Word has it that Isaac Carree isn’t the only gospel artist taking submissions from aspiring musicians via Blazetrak.com.

Paul “PDA” Allen of the hit-making production camp PAJAM recently created a profile on the music site, in which he requests submissions from male and female artists, as well as songwriters.

PAJAM has gotten award-winning placements and production work on albums across music genres, for everyone from N’Sync and Destiny’s Child to Karen Clark Sheard and Shirley Caesar.  If you’ve got an opportunity to partner with them, or at the very least, get some feedback about your craft, you should prayerfully consider it… it might be a worthwhile investment.

Whatd’ya think???

PaJam - YES EJ basically explained why I would say yes! They have a reputable history in bringing the hits. Issac - NO No disrespect but Issac haven't dropped a solo record yet (even though its in the works) and his biggest recognition these days is singing bkgd with Kirk. Awesome voice, but paying him that much just to see IF he likes my music, don't think so.

Hey gospelfan..also check out Monica Bacon on Blazetrak..she also has done a lot of work in the industry..most recent is Crystal Aiken's project

@ jcordey... Thanks! Monica is great at what she do. My only hope is that if someone would pay and submit their questions to a professional, that they don't receive answers that's straight from the Gospel Industry Roundup book. I have been to conferences/panels with some big names executives and paid X amount of dollars on transportation/hotel/conference fees just to hear them say everything verbatim from the Industry Roundup or some other book (usually that they wrote or sponsor) that I have read.

@gospelfan Isaac's biggest recognition was singing background with Kirk?? What about a little group called "MEN OF STANDARD"??? Maybe a little JOHN P KEE AND NEW LIFE??? I mean, I'm just sayin...Isaac's has been in the game for a minute. Who remembers the concert video of JPK when they were wearin gold and blue?? Wit Denise Tichenor?? Ok, I digress. :)

Yeah, I know of Isaac from "Men of Standard"....I did not know he also sang for Kirk Franklin. I thought the purpose of Blazetrak was to submit MUSIC to be considered for songwriting, production, vocal purposes. Not just questions. I think it's an excellent way to connect with underground talent. There's alot of people out trying to get put on but don't have the connections.

@ nia - please read my statement again! I said "his biggest recognition these days is singing bkgd with Kirk." This means that lately that's all hes has been doing. I like Issac. His work with MOS & JPK was great. I was only speaking on what hes been doing lately. No pun intended.

But is that standard? Did someone charge him 85 dollars when he first got started? Im not sure what exactly he had to do that got him to the place where he is. But, something about blazetrak seems like another side hustle for people in the game. And all they have to do is sit down and respond. I guess if i knew the track record of how many artist, songwriters, etc. get discovered using blazetrak it would help. I'm not really sure what is the best way for any up and coming songwriter to be heard. Don't want to compromise to be included in some private circle or sect and haven't decided if I wanna spend some money that could be going to a new pair of Creative Recs, lol.

@nia I still have that John P Kee video (Wash Me). lol Somebody on twitter just asked me about this the other day..I wasnt aware of this site...Blazetrak.com that is... From what they told me , it was a site where musicians, songwriters, and bgv's could submit...is this true??

@LJ..I was skeptical too, so I took a chance and emailed Isaac on Facebook..he mentioned that he prayed about it and the Lord reminded him of the sacrifices he made to get where he is...there is not a lot of press about how many people are getting discovered on Blazetrak yet, but as someone who has made a lot of relationships in my local tri-state area..it really seems like something I would consider to go further in this industry..its like marketing..you pay, hoping you hit the right targets..I'm more interested in PAJAM and Monica Bacon since they have 'more' options..Isaac, whom I'm a big fan of, is currently working on his project..so I'm just trying to decide who I'll pitch to first..glad its tax time..lol

@jcordery. LOL! I feel you. I guess the thing that really alarmed me is I asked someone who PDA is working with on a regular basis and they informed me its highway robbery. What I do know of with the few placements I have, is that this business is about who you know. Somebody who knows somebody finally gives you a chance. And then someone hears what you wrote and inquires, and the snowball grows and grows. So, I guess I questioned the process because it is new. Chase somebody down and throw a demo in their window yes. At least I don't feel robbed in the process. Would be interesting to know the success rate of up and coming artists that use Blazetrak.
