Just found myself enjoying this song and video, so I figured I’d post it for you guys.
It’s Lecrae’s “Far Away,” the lyrics of which present a very real and common-to-man plea– “God, where are you?” I love that, by the end of the track, Lecrae presents an answer– God’s not far away at all.
Lecrae recorded the song to benefit Haiti relief efforts and it’s available for purchase from iTunes.
The message is tight, the video is cool… I love it.
What do you think???

Lecrae is doing his thing and representing the genre of Christian rap/hip hop very well! So much that he has a strong presence on the Hip Hop and Rap Charts on iTunes. And it'not in the Christian and Gospel charts neither. So for those who want to hear more of his stuff check out his albums Real Talk, After The Music Stops and His latest one Rebel! Also check out Reachrecords.com for more info on him and the rest of the artist/s
I showed this to my youth group last night and they liked it. I think it's cool myself
Almost got a little emotional from this track which is just amazing. I love the message and anointing from Lecrae. A very blessed and gifted young man used by God. I love the song. God is never far, far away from us all...He is always close by.
I think he and many other gospel hip-hop artists have a beautiful grasp on how to express the struggles and triumphs of Christians and keep their expression tightly linked to the word of God. I love it.
