Word Has It: Richard Smallwood & Vision Working On New Stuff

Word has it that Richard Smallwood & Vision will be recording a new album later this year.

The upcoming project is tentatively titled Promises and may feature both live and studio tracks.

I’m SUPER excited for this.  They had their first rehearsal a few days ago and I hear the music is as moving and powerful as we’ve come to expect from Richard Smallwood… thank God for that guy.  His music is a big part of the soundtrack of what we know as “contemporary gospel music.”  And Vision… the vocals are downright heavenly.

Anybody else love ‘em like I do???

    It's funny you mentioned Richard Smallwood doing new material because I was just thinking about him. I was thinking if he was doing anything new and I get on here and here it is!! I'm looking forward to his new project. Hes a musical genius and I admire his love for the piano. Would be sweet if theres a piano solo on this upcoming album. Thanks for the news.

    I have been following Richard Smallwood since 1984 and I have everything (outside of compilations) that he's ever done on album, tape AND CD LOL I am always excited when he's doing a new project! I was privileged to have gone to his church for a couple of years and was able to hear and see him in action. My all time favorite gospel artist!

    I think the title of the project is BLESSED. He has lately been speaking of rehearsals for "BLESSED" on his facebook page... but dunno, he hasnt said much. So, maybe your sources are more accurate with regards to the title of the project. Seems like this year might be an interesting year with regards to recordings and releases...

    @Eddie - Are you sure you're following the real Richard Smallwood? Because he has clearly been talking about rehearsals for the upcoming project entitled "Promises".
