I’m dubbing yesterday “Gospel Day at ABC.” 
Marvin Sapp performed “Fresh Wind” on Good Morning America and Fred Hammond performed “They That Wait” on The View (the show also featured Vice President Joe Biden– can you say EXPOSURE?!).
I’m thrilled for the mainstream opportunities and I’m sooo proud of both of ‘em.

Marvin was awesome! I wasn't able to view the Fred video bc I couldn't click on the link for some reason. Maybe it's just my computer though.
i feel like Fred didnt really sing... hmph
Marvin Sapp actually sang "The Best In Me" on the live airing and was awesome. They showed a 2-second clip of "Fresh Wind" but I think that was an ABC website exclusive. That performance was not aired on the live program. Back 'TBIM' though, I love to see gospel artists who don't bother trying to switch up things and are their true selves when they get into these secular arenas to perform. Marvin Sapp was a class-act here and I give him my props for this one. Now Fred, I agree with "me", I would have liked to hear more SINGING from him. (I kinda wish he removed that baseball hat too) He sorta talk-sang most of his performance but when he actually sang--he sounded awesome! Fred Hammond is one of my favorite male vocalists and I love his voice. I did admire the stage production (I know that had more to do with "The View" producers) and Fred's energy & working of the crowd.

Marvin Sapp and 'em tore it up! Loved his performance. I have to get my copy of his latest CD! The atmosphere of the audience was feelin his music! I'm so surprised to see ABC allowing Gospel singers to perform on their channel! Praise the Lord for this new change! I hope we see more of this. Fred Hammond is my boy, but the View didn't have him set up correctly. The vibe wasn't the same as it was on GMA. Never the less, loved seeing him perform.
