Not too many changes in the top 10 spots on the Gospel Albums chart at Billboard.

#4 |Karen Clark Sheard - All In One
#5 | Fred Hammond – Love Unstoppable

#7 | Earnest Pugh – Live: Rain On Us
#8 | Hezekiah Walker & LFC – Souled Out
#9| Tamela Mann - The Master Plan
#10 | Mary Mary – The Sound
Outside of the top 10, Lucinda Moore’s Blessed Broken & Given has debuted at #13, and Vickie Winans jumped from #44 to #18, and James Hall’s church choir, Voices of Citadel, jumped from #33 to #19 with their newest release– Won’t It Be Wonderful (full review of that one coming TODAY).
I’m assuming the top 10 will stay pretty much like this for a while– I don’t know of any major releases that could cause an upset and the numbers are fairly solid.
Talk to me– which of these albums do you not have, but are considering pickin’ up???

Yessss...I'm a choir-head, so I'll be checking back every 5 minutes for your review of the Voices of Citadel. :-)
I'm thinking I want Lucinda Moore: Blessed, Broken, & Given. Does anybody have this cd? ~JM
Of the top ten, the only one that I would consider getting that I don't already have is Earnest Pugh's CD. I don't see Smokey Norful's CD, but I might get that one too. I also see Mary Mary is back in the top ten... I may check out Lucinda Moore's CD. I wonder if her Blessed, Broken, & Given is the same song from CeCe Winans' Alabaster Box cd. And why does it feel like there aren't many gospel releases this year, compared to other years? I just seems like there should be more releases, but if the releases are good, I'll take quality over quantity!
WOW! #13? Yikes. The gospel industry needs to step up their marketing teams. It seems like the only albums that get good publicity are the people who have already crossed over. What happened to Myron Butler and Smokie Norful choir cd? They debuted and vanished so quickly.
Wow...Earnest Pugh's CD is my favorite praise and worship artists AND a crooner! I don't think the people saw him coming. He has been a killer for years and now I am glad to see him rise above it all to take his rightful place.
@gospoman there's normally like 2-3 weeks when everybody decides to release their projects. Last year I think it happened in October. All I can say is save your money and get ready when they do release.
Yep, I got it Lucida Moore's CD!!! Incredible!!!
I, too, am surprised how quickly Myron Butler's CD fell. Vanessa Bell Armstrong's should at least be in the top 20 still-even though it was released back in October. There are many underperforming Gospel efforts, which is disappointing! There is so much comfort, healing and deliverance in Gospel music, but church members are not purchasing it.
I work in a Christian bookstore and have done it for years. I can tell you that church folks don't support the Christian stores in my area. Some churches/ministries only come around when they want a yearly donation. Great uplifting music comes out regularly and very little support from Christians. However, wait until a Jay-Z or Beyonce cd comes out; you can go around these same people and they have all of them and know all of the words. I do like some secular artists myself, however, when it gets down too it, give me the Word of God.
I have to say that out of the top 10 I only have Marvin Sapps... After all the good reviews on Ernest Pugh's I think I may purchase that sooon...
