The Charts: Not Too Much Movement In Top 10

Not too much movement in the top 10 of Billboard’s Gospel Albums chart this week.

Marvin Sapp - Here I Am#1 | Marvin SappHere I Am
#2 | WOW Gospel 2010
#3 | Karen Clark Sheard - All In One
#4 | BeBe & CeCe Winans - Still
#5 | James Fortune & FIYAEncore
#6 | Fred HammondLove Unstoppable
#7 | Earnest PughLive: Rain On Us
#8 | Hezekiah Walker & LFCSouled Out
#9 | Tamela Mann - The Master Plan
#10 | Brian Courtney Wilson - Just Love

Re-entries into the top 10 come from Earnest Pugh and Brian Courtney WilsonSmokie Norful’s Victory Cathedral Choir drops from #4 to #19 (y’all better buy that album and quit playin’… it’s dope).

Things will probably look similar to this for a minute… not too many new releases coming and, with a few exceptions, their numbers are pretty strong, with little change in sales percentage week-to-week.

Whatd’ya think???

I'm glad to see Brian Courtney in the top 10. His sound is unique; with a little John P. Kee...He has been looking good as a newcomer.

One more comment...Karen Clark's CD is ministering to me. Track #10 is mixed with their old-school tune 'No Not One'. And Dorinda--puts the icing on the cake with her voice...get this one!

I feel bad cause it seems like I'm the only one who feel like "All in One" needs to grow on me. :-( I LOVE the Prayed Up, Because of You, What He Did, He Knows, and Have Your Way. Maybe I'll feel differently in a month or so... *sigh*

Don`t feel that bad v4c, it had to grow on me too, after the first listen I was not sold but after the second and third one, I was mesmerized with the cd. I love the urban contemporay sound, she is singing down the house. Karen is my favorite singer so I could be bias, but give it more time.

MJ - Thanks, lol. I have no issue with the urban comtemporary sound though. I think part of my issue is that the CD sounds like a debut to me. In a sense, I guess it is. Not sure I was expecting to be able to hear that though...
