I have every cd except Tamela Mann, Earnest Pugh, and Bishop Paul Morton's cd. However, out of the top ten my favorite would have to be James Fortune's Cd. I can listen to it all day!!

I only have Mary Mary's album. Never listened to the other ones yet. I don't know why... ***shrugs shoulders like a kid***, I just haven't :) I will though, cause I want some new music in my library.

Of the top ten, I DON'T have #1 | Marvin Sapp - Here I Am - (missed the $3.99 promo, oh well) #2 | WOW Gospel 2010 - (haven't brought a WOW CD in years!! They're not relevant to me anymore) #4 | James Fortune & FIYA - Encore (i'll pass lol) #5 | Tamela Mann - The Master Plan (love her, not interested enough to get the whole CD) #9 | Earnest Pugh - Live: Rain On Us (maybe I'll get it one day) #10 | Bishop Paul Morton - Memorable Moments (hmm, just don't have it, lol. I like some of this songs tho) Of the top ten, the BeBe and CeCe project is my favorite..

It's still earnest pugh for me. That's seriously one of the best cd's to come out last year.

I'm so ashamed to say I dont have any of the albums in the top 10...... I'm one of the folk who became dissappointed in the shalow qualtity (content wise) of gospel albums being released so havent bought a gospel album in about 2 years and have only been buying CCM (christian artists albums) BUT I gotta say I sampled marvin saoos album on youtube and am gonna go get it and also get his thirsty album ( once again ashamed to say I didnt get that either...lol)

Out of the top-10 records, I don't have the Wow Gospel, the Bishop Morton, nor the Earnest Pugh. Of the 3 I'm willing to spend money on 1st is the Earnest Pugh. I might possibly pick up the Bishop Morton (no rush). I won't ever purchase a Wow Gospel record though, not when I have the majority of the material they put on there.

Which of the albums do I not have? #2 | WOW Gospel 2010 - I have most of the cds so didn't need the extra money maker. It's a great gift for some people. #3 | BeBe & CeCe Winans - Still - Missed out on the years of their Batman & Robin duo ministry days. Love CeCe praise and worship stuff GOTTA HAVE IT!!!!!! #6 | Fred Hammond - Love Unstoppable - Didn't care for They That Wait....I'm still waiting on a single that will cause me to spend the dollars and buy his cd. #7 | Mary Mary - The Sound - I am persuaded to love the Lord, not persuaded to buy this cd. It's awesome that they caused people to think about the God n Me. Love their ministry. #10 | Bishop Paul Morton - Memorable Moments - I have all of his stuff so don't need a compilation to Light Records Marvin Sapp cd is a favorite with delicious treats of Fresh Wind, Comfort Zone, and Best in Me.

Umm, Mary Mary (which was a disappointment) and a few Fred cuts (They that Wait and No Fault in Him)... *shrugs* Other than Youthful Praise, nothing much from the last year has REALLY grabbed me...unfortunately... :-(

First, it's too bad more independent artists don't make these Billboard lists. Right now, I'm listening to the "God Can Still Use You" album by One 4 Christ. I would highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't picked it up yet. If you like Excelsior -- and seems like they have a few fans on this site -- you'll like One 4 Christ. With regard to this list, I have everything except Bishop Morton's "Memorable Moments" and WOW Gospel 2010. "Memorable Moments" is a collection of Bishop Morton classics. But, since I've been a fan since I first heard "Your Tears" as a kid, I already have every music CD he's put out (including the ones with Greater St. Stephens & the Full Gospel choirs) except for his Christmas album. So, I already have all of the songs on the "Memorable Moments" album. And with regards to WOW Gospel, I have to agree with gospoman. I haven't bought a WOW disc in a looong time. The ones that I bought had songs that weren't available anywhere else, or they had "sneak peek" tracks from artists' upcoming albums. The newer WOW versions don't seem to have those same kind of offerings. So, I don't usually buy them since I usually already have the songs that they feature. That said, I definitely understand the appeal of the WOW compilation. Hard to pick a favorite from this list though... All of them have some GREAT songs that are destined to be classics, and I have keep them all (of the ones I have) in heavy rotation. Ultimately, I don't think you can go wrong with any of them! LOL

@v4c imma really need you to listen to earnest pugh (again if you already have). That's seriously one of the best praise and worship albums i've heard in a LOOOONG time.

@Joe, I bought that cd off of one of the members. Malcolm Williams in on there and this one song, God's Been So Good. If you want to have a good hard church shout that says "Yes Sir" pop that one in your cd player and go in.

  • Joe wrote on April 1, 2010

@Matthew5and9: Yes! That is my song! LOL

@ mylum - I heard one song that was nice...and I usually like his music. I don't feel HIM for whatever reason though... Can't quite put my finger on it...

I own Marvin Sapp's Here I Am, James Fortune's Encore, Tamela Mann's The Master Plan, Fred Hammond's Love Unstoppable & Hezekiah Walker's Souled Out. So, I have 5/10 or 1/2 of the top 10. I have not purchased WOW because I consistently purchase most Gospel CDs. BeBe & CeCe are respectful, but I have not gotten into their music. Mary Mary's CD is good, but I have not purchased it! I may buy Earnest Pugh's CD. Paul Morton is not a favorite of mine.
