Goodies: BeBe & CeCe Winans With Whitney Houston Throwback

This is OLD SKOOL from 1989– it’s a great performance from BeBe & CeCe Winans singing “Hold Up The Light” with Whitney Houston at the annual NAACP awards.

My favorite aspect of this video is how great Whitney sounds and how ALL-IN CeCe is going with her performance– I mean she MEAAAANS what she’s singing!

Check it out–

Whatd’ya think?!

THANK YOU EJ, I WATCH THIS ALMOST EVERYDAY!] This is by far the greatest live performance, I have ever heard. Bebe is singing, Cece is really sanging and Whitney is just tearing it up. I watch this at least every day, this is the best video I seen. I love the crowd partipation and the anointing on this video. Did you see how people started holding up that light? I love this song, this i s a instant classic, again thanks so much for posting!

Whitney seemed so effortless. Looked like BeBe and CeCe were about to kill themselves, lol

I have ALWAYS loved this song especially when the 3 of them go into harmony. CeCe's hair is killing me, though (LOL) but I loved this video!

Great performance from all of them. I was struck though by the irony of Whitney singing the line "...boys and girls can't you see the kind of friend crack can be". Wow.

"Whitney seemed so effortless. Looked like BeBe and CeCe were about to kill themselves, lol" L.O.L. That's true. But I bet BeBe & CeCe can still knock this out in 2010. Whitney, not so much.

Well, BeBe and CeCe did sing this song on American Idol back in 2007 with Melinda Doolittle, and although I think it was a half-key lower than the original version, they did it well. I agree, I doubt today's Whitney could pull it off.
