Word has it that one of gospel music’s favorite duos, BeBe & CeCe Winans, will be receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2011.
The siblings are in good company– several others will be receiving stars that day, including Gwyneth Paltrow, Danny DeVito, and Oprah Winfrey.

What's the procedure to get a star? Is it that you have to be asked by the association but you have to pay for it yourself? Will BeBe & CeCe start requesting donations? LOL!

"Will BeBe & CeCe start requesting donations?"--> dead wrong! LMBO You get nominated by basically anyone just as long as the "nominee" & their management (or other representative) agrees to it. The "association" and/or person that nominated them can pay for it. OR...their record label, whoever is involved with their current projects, fan club, general sponsor, etc. The main requirement is that nominee has to have no less than 5 years in their field.

If I were a Christian, I would consider it an insult for Hollyweird to give me a star on anything. I don't think I would want to be honored by the wicked...I hope they rethink it

That's a blessing to be acknowledge that way, considering they are not worldly anymore but godly now. I say Congrats I'm grateful to God before I see it come too pass!!
Being that you are not a Christian therefore you don't understand how God works. The Bible says that the wealth of the wicked is laid up for the just. I'm being a Christian I see it as a blessing! In Psalm 23:5 God said, Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies. I hope and pray that God will reveal himself to you in such a way that you would be able to see him in a real way. God is good and he gives us favor even with those that are wicked. For God said when a man ways please him I will make even his enemies be at peace with him.
I just knew someone up in here wanted to spread some negativty. like Toe against Be be and Ce Ce. We as Christians should be happy that they got a star. And yes, they deserve this honor. Be Be moved on from his issues and we should do th same.

I hope there are more artists who are willing to do duets this way, especially male and female artists with clear and distinct voices. I had hoped Ted and Sherri would continue singing together. I am proud of the way Bebe and Cece have set the bar. They all have the skills, and honor is due*
