The new album from gospel hip-hop artist Trip Lee, Between Two Worlds, made a HUGE statement at retail this week, earning the #1 position at Billboard on both the Gospel AND Christian albums charts. In doing so, he unseated chart leaders Marvin Sapp and MercyMe, respectively.
Trip Lee’s new project also landed at #10 on the Rap albums chart. All in all, a pretty strong showing for this project. Congrats!
Also, My Life’s Lyric, the new album from DeWayne Woods & When Singers Meet, has debuted at #3, while Darwin Hobbs’ latest effort, Champion, debuts at #6.
So, LOTS of movement in the top 10. It now looks a little something like this…

yes i have the CD, and it definitely DESERVES it's spot as #1 ! The Youth NEEDS to hear this ! anyone who listens to the rap on radio should get hip to Trip Lee. i let my friends listen to it and they couldn't even tell it was gospel until they paid attention to his lyrics . They didnt think the Gospel could sound so cool . i LOVE iT! :)

Gospel hip-hop is more popular than I thought, I don't even know who Trip Lee is.
Trip Lee is the truth.He's a young dude who is definetly on fire for God and to see his album at number #1 is nothing more than God's favor.He's definetly an inspiration to me and so many other young people today.Keep up the good work Trip.Oh yeah the album is my favorite album that I have purchased on this year. The quality and the substance behind what this brother is saying is the word of God.
It is time for change in the atmosphere and God is willing to goes places no one else wanted to go. I believe it mean to be reach far and wide to reach the youth of today. Launch hip-hop careers for christ a immediate receipents that show the world, God's is not limited to the church but outside the world of today and the future. Trip Lee is one of the holy hip who has a treasure from God and deep down places a nugget in their hearts to hearts to be spoken for kingdom of God.

The CD is GREAT!!! I wish more people would get behind Quality Hip Hop like this. Parents, would you rather your child listen to this or Lil Wayne, Plies, Gucci Mane and more? If your child is 4th grade and up, they are either listening to or being exposed to some lyrics that are BLATANLY crude, vulgar and disrespectful to women. If you do not like Hip Hop, buy Trip Lee, Lecrae, Sho Baraka, D Maub, Willie Will, Theory Hazit and others so that your child can have music that is bangin musically, but uplifting spiritually. Here's an idea. Set up a paypal account. Put a certain amount of money on there every so often. Your child can go and purchase music online without using your credit card. Once, they use up the money, then they cannot download anything else until you put more money in there. You can check to see what music they are downloading.
