Goodies: Yolanda Adams – "Walk On"

Few people can nail a live performance like Yolanda Adams can.  She stands tall and regal, all glammed up, with a voice that just won’t quit.  If I were a betting man, my money would typically be on Yolanda when it comes to near-flawless live performances.

This particular performance is from a tribute to Patti LaBelle.  In fact, I remember posting something about it when it happened and, because she also did a duet with Brian McKnight, folks glossed over how dope this performance was, opting instead to go at each other about whether she should’ve or shouldn’t have, whether it’s right or wrong, whether Yolanda’s a sinner or a saint.

I don’t wanna go that route this time– let’s just focus on the performance, cuz it’s great and worth a watch.

Whatd’ya think???

Unfortunate, our so call brothers & sisters in Christ can be so judgment al, especially when it comes to who's living right. This Christian walk could be a much easier walk if we stop throwing our own convictions on others. The relationship Yolanda Adams has with God is her relationship with God, not anyone else's. It's so funny how so many Christians can speak for our perfect God, yet we are so far from perfect.Maybe God is trying to tell you something(is that a song:), How is it you can hear so clear from God when it comes to what someone else is doing or not doing.I really try to live this way.

What an awesome gift to the body. Her voice is phenomonal. I know this is not a discussion about gospel artists singing with secular artists. Jesus was talked about because he fellowshipped with unbelievers. Must be doing something right when folk are always talking about you.

Love Yolanda! She is true singer, but I remember her commenting when Tramaine Hawkins sung a song on Soul Train (with a big fan) that night Yolanda as she sung, her comments were --- she would never cross the line as Tramine had --- (oh well - guess she had second thoughts) so as christians never say what you won't, wouldn't do --- because a time will come and you will have to. similiary to Steve Harvey & his fight ...

Nice, but my favorite live Yolanda Adams performance is Open My Heart at the NAACP Image awards. Not sure what year it was but wow! I remember sitting in front of my TV in tears thinking that all there surely can feel the presence of God. Anytime she sings That Name is awesome too!

Beautiful! Yolanda just SINGS!! She wasn't done yet though, there used to be an audio recording on YouTube of her doing a reprise right after this performance. She took it to CHURCH! Too bad it wasn't televised.

I have always loved Yolanda Adams. She is a true woman of God. God has shown himself to Yolanda. She knows who she is in Christ.
