I love his new cd so far. I haven't had a chance to listen to all of the songs yet.
This CD is one of the best that I have heard in a while. I love every single track. I was at the album release in Baltimore and truly Jonathan has gone into another place when it comes to ministry. From "Praise Saved My Life," to "Another Way," to "Performance," all of the songs are arranged in such a way that even when you get to the "Draw Me Nearer" medley of songs it just fits. This is definitely a must purchase for anyone that wants to be encouraged and have an experience with God. Heaven will show up and you truly will have "Better Days!"
I got it the day OF! The worship songs are just so anointed. This is the first time I've anticipated something this much and was satisfied MORe than what I expected. Not to mention that Kiki SMASHED "Performance".
The album is ridiculous!! Lots of church choirs will be giving this one some love. Cry Holy is gonna be a P&W hit...and of course the Tasha Cobbs track Smile. If u don't have the album or been thinking about getting it, stop thinking and get it!!

"Performance" highlights great vocal skills. I prefer more lyrics in a song, but I still really enjoyed the video you posted. I couldn't help but imagine how the song would have been if more scriptures from Revelations had been added. I love listening to both Nelson and Sheard: They both portray a level of energy and joy in gospel music that God has granted. *I also hear a message that everyone needs to be reminded of during this time when people are giving up and stepping down to be accepted by a dominant group of people. The message presents the following: Don't get distracted by the level of evil in this world or the number of people who are trying to convince you that sin is OK. God is going to PERFORM what is recorded in Revelations. Get ready for that kind of performance or you will get left. Perhaps, this is just my own interpretation of the song. I know God is going to bless us and perform miracles while we are here, but that is no comparison to the plan outlined in Revelations. Just imagine that performance. Think about his promises that he will bless you so that we will cry no more or experience death. I AM REALLY GLAD THAT SOMEONE IS SINGING ABOUT MORE THAN A WHITE TEE AND GUCCI OR MONEY WHEN IT COMES TO EXPLAINING THE GREATNESS OF GOD!!!!!!
"Great Album" (Love Every Song!!!)
This album is great! I love it! Its definitely something you can play without skipping in of the tracks on the album. Smile? Better Is One Day is such a great medley.
I have it...I must admit my favs are "Performance", "Cry Holy", and "Another Way"...but overall the whole cd is great! I heard some different harmonies in my head...lol! But I love Jonathan's arrangements on his projects! Kierra had me rewinding and trying to learn every inch of "Performance" and I WISH WISH WISH that they would have gone for a track after "Another Way". The "Smile" medley is another FAV! I can't stop switching between J. Nelson and Tasha Cobbs versions...lol!
I think this album is GREAT! I was sold when i heard "Expect The Great". In addition to the songs you listed, I also love "Praise Saved My Life". One of my personal favorites for the year. I know this is about Jonathan Nelson but sleep on Darwin Hobbs album, equally as great!!!!
This cd is incredibly powerful...track #4 radiates in my head, track #7 with Jason and Jonathan takes you straight to the throne of God, and Expect the Great is MY SONG! Get it now and tell me you won't be praising this same tune! God Bless
