Congrats to Y'Anna for her fabulous debut! Uber excited for Brian Courtney Wilson's #5 sopt after 65 weeks on the chart!!
Would be interested in knowing where on a whole in regards to ALL Christian music the album placed... its a sad truth that Gospel has and does (with the exception of a few records i.e. Marvin Sapp) not sell very well on the large scale of Christian Music as a whole. I've noticed that Jeremy Camp moved massive numbers with his latest release, with Natalie Grant and Christ August rounding out the top. Wish that gospel fans would "buy into" its artists the same way Contemporary Christian does... Then maybe I would get excited about where gospel records place, but for now I think its a pretty sad state of affairs. Even if this chart lists so high...
I love Marvin Sapp and all but........umm.....can we please take him off number one. Buy someone else's album! He's had like TOO MUCH shine!
I agree and this is coming from a major fan.
Yes!!!! Brian Courtney Yes!!! 65 Weeks on the Chart!!! What a marvelous thing God has done for you my brother!
I'm a big fan of Y'Anna Crawley and waited with anticipation along with everyone else but I thought the album was a big disappointment with only 10 songs and it sounds to me like she is trying to crossover to R&B. She has a tremedous voice and every time she sings it touches me deeply but I did not feel anything with this album. Seems like the producers changed everything about her style, she is no longer soulful and jazzy.
marvin & hez have been in the top 10 seem like forever. What does that say about the other artist who crack the top ten but only last about a week or so? Big ups to Hez & Sapp
