Me too! Such a legend...she will be missed. I'm proud to say that I got a chance to meet her at the Shirley Caesar's Conference one year. It pays to get lost sometimes..hahaha! She was very nice. Her, Shirley, and Dottie Peoples offered me something to eat...Chicken at that! Great memory.
There were some great performances at the musical celebration last night. I personally enjoyed LeAnn Faine along with Delores Washington singing the classic "Spread the Word", Tremaine Hawkins "Going up Yonder" (whoo!), Tanya Ray & Pastor Kimberly Ray (tag-team), The Barrett Sisters and Percy Gray with his 3 choir combo.
