Ya Heard?: Joe Pace’s “And We Are Glad”

Ya heard Joe Pace’s “And We Are Glad” yet?

I love it. It’s just a dope choir song, RIPE AND READY for your Sunday morning worship services.

The tune is on Joe Pace’s latest album, Praise for the Sanctuary, which hit stores last week and features guest spots from Isaac Carree, Crystal Aikin, Tonya Baker and more. Click here to check it out
and to buy it.

Peep the live video (ignore the mysterious overdubs on the vamp– it’s spooked me at first, but I’m over it now):

Whatd’ya think???

I love the CD, I could just hear every song sung at my chuuuuuch! There's a CCM song, baptist song, pentecostal song. It depicts the different fascades of gospel!

i'm sorry... but was that an angel ad libbing from the heavens? And was that the actual choir vocal MIX that's on the actual album?

This song (the beginning of it, at least) sounds like the beginning of the Ricky Dillard song "Our Father, You Are Holy" from the 7th Episode CD. Same chord movements in the beginning of the song.... Sigh.... Mandatory (yet sincere) compliment: my favorite Joe Pace song is "O Clap Your Hands" from the "Let There Be Praise" CD....

This is a great song, I love the lyrics.

Sighs....It's not uncommon to see similarities and similar patterns of melodies/progressions in different songs. I think the song is unique in it's own way....not everyone is called to write 100% unique material

"not everyone is called to write 100% unique material" the ironic joke writes itself.... Sigh....

Nice song. I'd like to hear more of it....I'm still stuck on Joe Pace's "Sunday Morning" cd.

I agree! I love this cd! I have yet to take it out of my cd player. The songs are simple to learn. Choirs can sing them everywhere and the congregation can easily pick them up and feel apart of the worship service.

I guess since there's "nothing new under the sun" (don't blame me.. I didn't write it) chords and music will sometimes display themselves as being similar in pattern. Yet, no need to sigh over the similarity. The music is still awesome. Pace used some phenomenal mucisians (again) on this project. Kudos to them!

Well all I can say is the CD blesses my socks off!!!! I love this song and "Forever"..... think if we all take a seat back and rest our fingers and exercise our minds and ears to hear the progression of him as an artist from his first CD to now you will appreciate it. IDK just my opinion.

That is a great cd too. I think I read in an interview of his that he followed the same concept of "Sunday Morning Service" for this latest project. "Forever", "Speak a Word", and "Great Jehovah God" are my favorites, but I honestly love the whole cd.

You said it! I've heard all of his projects. I've been a listener of his music for years. The anointing that stands behind this project is ridiculous!

I was actually hoping that was the case....I think I'll check it out. Maybe I'll preview the cd on itunes first, or ilike.com. Thanks for the info!

    Sigh.... kindly, my prerogative.
