The Charts: Lecrae Dominates Billboard At #1 AND #2

I knew this was coming, but I’m still like “DUDE… are you SERIOUS?!”

Christian hip-hop artist Lecrae has nabbed both the #1 AND #2 spots on Billboard’s Gospel Albums chart, debuting at #1 with his new release, Rehab: The Overdose, and followed up by his now long-running release of Rehab at #2.  That’s quite a feat!

Also debuting high on the charts this week was Beginnings, a special compilation of Marvin Sapp’s older tunes released by Word, which charted at #6.

I’m eager to see where John P Kee’s new album, The Legacy Project, lands next week.  According to early reports, it has been doing very well at iTunes– maybe the good Pastor will reach #1?

    I've got both Overdose and Rehab, and I think Overdose might bring more fire than Rehab does, even if it's a bit shorter.

    I agree, Overdose in my opinion is better. Both good albums though. That's great for Lecrae :)

    I don't like Overdose as much as Rehab...to me Overdose is just meh, while Rehab is a beastly album

    Most people say they like Rehab better but say they wish Lecrae brought the heat and intensity that he brought on Overdose to Rehab. Don't misunderstand though, both albums are solid but Rehab has more of a, for lack of a better word, "pop" feel while Overdose is more gritty, which is the type of musical style that many people associate with Lecrae. I like that he went outside the box with Rehab but I truly like Overdose better.

    ive got both but i really think rehab is better overdose is beast but rehab is just outta control but anyway God bless the brother and he's dropping some crazy truth
