Trin-i-tee 5:7′s “Over & Over”

Have you heard the newest single from Trin-i-tee 5:7, titled “Over & Over” yet?

Rising songwriter and producer of this day PJ Morton crafted the tune for the ladies, the first single from their upcoming album titled Angel and Chanelle (due May 2011).

I’m REALLY diggin’ it.  ”Over & Over” is a heartfelt and passionate reflection of God’s continued goodness to us, featuring superb vocals and harmonies over a song that could be every Believer’s prayer of gratitude.

Take a listen–

Whatd’ya think???

Awesome song! Powerful message! This is a hit waiting to happen...everyone is entitled to their own opinion this is definitely a different route for the girls but I'm glad they are maturing with their audience....I feel like this album is going to present a more mature side of Trin-i-tee 5:7 and this is the way to start it off. You can't deny the anointing in this song it really speaks to heart......listen to the words and we all know if it wasn't for the mercy and grace of God....honestly where would we be but God continue to show his favor no matter what sins we committed no matter how bad we treat Him....b/c he love us he continues to Bless us Over & Over again!!! Thank You Trin-i-tee 5:7 and PJ Morton for this one!!!

That hairstyle sucks!!!! Its like every bad hairstyle thrown on one head lol. She needs to go back to the hairdresser and try and try, over and over again til they get it right. Wait I'm supposed to be judging the song! Lol. Sorry the hair was so distracting. Anyway I like the song, its good. I'm glad they're still doing their thing.

My interest in Trin-i-tee 5:7 has waned a little since 'The Kiss' was released, but I must say, "Over & Over" is one of the most arresting songs they've put out in quite some time. I love it when groups who typically rely entirely on synthesized programming and production switch it up and go with live instrumentation; that change makes the final product so much richer. There's something very moving about the repetitive chord progressions and vocal refrains, and the lyrics, in their simplicity, drive home the point: the Lord's blessings truly impact our lives... over and over again. He truly deserves our endless adoration, thanks, and worship. :-)

But they do have to do with the video does.... (Eeeek!) That's one of the tradeoffs for making a music video: one not only gets to "hear" the song but we also get to "see" it, including who is singing the song.... and if the song is not strong enough to distract from the bad hair/costuming, then something's wrong. Or, if the bad hair/costuming distracts from a decent song, then something is still wrong.... Bottom line: music videos don't save souls, right? 'Cause that's supposed to be the main thing, right? 21st century "gospel" music is a pitiful joke.
