The nominees for the 54th Annual Grammy Awards will be announced during the annual nominations concert THIS WEDNESDAY, November 30th, at 10pm ET/PT on CBS.
While there won’t likely be any gospel artists on stage, or any gospel categories announced live, we will get to see who’s nominated shortly thereafter.

It doesn't surprise me that many gospel artists haven't been able to perform at the nomination concert. Even though there will be "gospel" and "christian hip hop" nominations for the 2012 Grammy's, I wish that more gospel artists would be allowed to perform at the nomination concert, and, I wish that more artists would be allowed to perform at the official Grammy awards ceremony. From a biblical perspective, I'll provide this verse from 2ND Corinthians chapter 4, verses 5-6 (ESV BIBLE) "For what we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your servants[a] for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ." Those verses explain why more Gospel artists should perform at awards ceremonies, like the Grammy Awards. :)
