Whitney Houston has passed.
Each step of writing this post has been surreal– from typing the headline to finding the photo– I just can’t wrap my mind around it. I’m numb and on auto-pilot with this one…
No other musician’s passing has hit me as hard as the sudden and unexpected death of Whitney Houston. I don’t have any flowery reflections to give just yet– hasn’t really hit me.
But I do know that we’ve gotta pray. Even as individuals, touched by her iconic music and now rocked with grief, WE have got to pray.
Pray for her daughter, Bobbi Kristina, pray for her mom, Cissy Houston, pray for her ex, Bobby Brown. I’ve gotta pray for the family and friends who will be infinitely more rattled and confused than I was as I read “Whitney Houston… Dead at 48.”
I praise God for the remarkable gift He gave this woman. I praise God for how she had the opportunity to sing of Him, speak of Him, and make Him known through various gospel songs and in many interviews, especially in later years. I pray she knew Him. And I pray He welcomed her home.
Whitney Houston will be more than missed.

In times like this, whenever someone of huge celebrity such as Whitney Houston dies, the first thing people want to do is speculate as to what their cause of death was. Instead of acknowledging the fact that they are no longer here; and showing respect and empathy for their family. As shocking and difficult as it may be to understand their death, it is a time to remember that God already knew that this day was coming. Everything that He does his not meant for our understanding. Important reminder to appreciate those you who love while they are still, and not after the fact. Nothing else matters at this moment, except for the fact she is no longer here. I can only pray that she has found a Peace, that she may or may not have found here on earth.
While Whitney did struggle with some demons in her life, she never failed to give God the glory in anything she received even 'til the very end. I'm glad Whitney knew whom she belonged to & that Jesus loved her as she sang in what is now her final performance. May she rest in peace. There are alot of people with great voices but there's none like Whitney.
Whitney was a great artist, and I am thankful that she shared her gift with the world. She has left a great impact on this world in just 48 years. I'm praying for her family and her fans.
We all can thank her for a such a great talent. Rest in peace!
Whitney Elizabeth Houston to the world is a iconic superstar celebrated for her phenomenal talents, and gifts shared the world over. To the House hold of faith family networks throughout the sparse body of Christ, Whitney was considered all of the prior mentioned. Yet; especially the more so in addition Whitney was, is, and will always be our Sister, & Child Of God! Whitney was a vocal professed believer in Jesus Christ whom throughout her life clung to her faith, and beliefs knowing from whence all her blessings came from and readily acknowledging and testifying to such! Even in her trial hours and times of trouble she never failed to give God the honor and the praise. That's a testimony within itself! Saying loud and clear that ....." No matter what? " GOD STILL IS!
kay: i am responding to your message and i pray others will join in,paraphase: YOU STATED IT SHOULD NOT be so important as to what caused her death,on the contrary its quite important to understand as to why she is not here with us,also what you call respect and empathy for their family,is to literally keep millions of others blind and bound in mental strongholds, little of us know or are afraid to share biblical truths,GALATIANS 6:7,8 SAYS WHAT EVER A MAN SOWS THAT SHALL HE ALSO REAP,GODS TRUTH SETS US FREE from demonic passions, another thing you mentioned,GOD KNEW THIS DAY WAS COMING,listen because GOD has foreknowlege of a thing he doesn't make us do or choose what we do, we have our freedom of choice however their are Consequences HOW AND WHAT we choose, and please people stop saying GOD IS doing things like this,THIS IS NOT GOD,GOD DOESN'T GIVE PEOPLE DRUGS AND MAKE THEM DIE at 48yrs old, what your seeing is demonic, passive, lustfull at best.
