I woke up humming this song, then decided I wanted to hear it, then decided I wanted to watch the video… and by that time, I decided I was just gonna blog about it.

TobyMac’s “Lose My Soul” (featuring Kirk Franklin and Mandisa) is SUCH an incredibly great song already, but the video was also verrry nicely done.  I love the setting and the storyline, plus I love that the artists are performing in the scene instead of having cut-aways to some live performance venue or something. I just LOVE It!

YES… SUH!

That’s pretty much all you wanna say in response to “It’s All God,” the new single from the Soul Seekers, featuring Pastor Marvin Winans.

I added it to the PunditPlayer a few weeks ago, but they just released the video for it (from their live recording) and it’s even BETTER to listen when ya watch it!!!

Is that vocal performance an instant classic or what?!

The only music video to ever make me cry is Aaron Hall’s “I Miss You.”  But I’ll be doggoned if this video didn’t almost get me!  I had to take a minute and breathe, but I maintained my composure.

Hezekiah Walker & LFC have recorded a great concept video for their hit single “God Favored Me,” featuring Marvin Sapp.  I’m loving the production quality (yes!), camera shots, lighting, the simplicity of the storylines, the styling… all of it. Marvin Sapp is doing his thing, too.

And, a bit of trivia for ya– the daughter in the video is actually Bishop Hez’s daughter, Kyasia, all grown and what not.

I want you guys to check out this video.  I think it’s a great idea– powerful and rather innovative for the gospel community.

The video features the newest single from J Moss, “Rebuild,” behind a bunch of artists and industry peeps talking about what “rebuild” means to them.

You’ll see J and his wife Melanie, PDA, 21:03, Tye Tribbett, Hezekiah Walker, Monica, Fred Hammond, Da’ T.R.U.T.H., Kierra Sheard, Donald Lawrence, Canton Jones, Warryn Campbell and more…

I think it’s pretty powerful and inspiring.  And I love to see all the artists that got on board to help him out with it.

The creative fellas of 21:03 have put together an unofficial, just-playin’-around kind of video for their newest track, “Favor.”

It’s actually quite entertaining and it’ll be cool if it goes viral…

I wrote an album review of Yunek’s Exodus Three: Seventeen a while ago.  I loved the way that she deals directly and Biblically with some tough topics, including her past struggles with sexuality.

This particular song, “Straddle The Fence,” is in line with her general mode of operation– it’s real and honest, with a good message.  I like the song.  I didn’t at first, but I do now.  Plus, the chorus reminds me of something that Aaliyah might have recorded, which is always pleasant to hear.

Peep the video:

Production-wise, I think it’s a quality video with solid camera angles and videography.  I like the storyline of the video, though I know some of you are gonna give her grief for that club dress she was rockin’.

And I may be gettin’ old– all of the dance shots looked the same to me, but maybe that’s what the young people are doing these days.  LOL

All in all, I like.  What about you?

Just found myself enjoying this song and video, so I figured I’d post it for you guys.

It’s Lecrae’s “Far Away,” the lyrics of which present a very real and common-to-man plea– “God, where are you?” I love that, by the end of the track, Lecrae presents an answer– God’s not far away at all.

Lecrae recorded the song to benefit Haiti relief efforts and it’s available for purchase from iTunes.

The message is tight, the video is cool… I love it.

Has everyone seen the music video for the “We Are The World” remake by now?

It features a bunch of artists, including BeBe Winans and Mary Mary.  BeBe grabs a verse on the song, while the ladies of Mary Mary get ad libs GALORE and a lot of camera time (in fact, you can see ‘em on the still screenshot below). They’re EVERYWHERE! LOL
