Word has it that a duet to rival ALL duets is in the making– it’s Karen Clark-Sheard and “the Queen of Soul,” Aretha Franklin.
In January 2010, Aretha Franklin will release her newest album, Aretha, A Woman Falling Out Of Love, produced by Aretha Franklin, BeBe Winans and Gordon Chambers. One of the album’s 11 tracks will feature the duet with KCS.
The project will be available exclusively on the QVC network first, then released nationwide, exclusively at Wal-Mart.
Dunno the title of the duet yet, but it’s gonna HAVE to be quite the performance!

Aretha Franklin has her annual revival every year at Karen and her husband’s church. I expected this to happen one day, I’d love to hear it.

Should be interesting. Aretha is my favorite singer of all time. But Karen is my girl too. I’m sure ReRe will have to tie that rope around Karen’s neck fo sho! so she don’t upstage her - LOL!

big retha is such a trip. If I ever see them do this live I might not make it from all the facial expressions, side eyes, and squalling back and forth!
But really, retha is far from her best vocally these days. I wish her the best, but i’m not quite seeing it for her on this duet..

these two together sounds like a good pair but it seems like too much. These are two powerful voices by themselves just imagine what it will be like when they get together.
