Word Has It: New Soul Seekers Album Due In May

Word has it that we’ll soon be getting new music from The Soul Seekers, the most modern, yet true-to-tradition, quartet group in the gospel game.

The Soul Seekers is a group/band comprised of Warryn Campbell, Teddy Campbell, John “Jubu” Smith, Eric Seats, Charlie Bereal, Nisan Stewart, Gerald Haddon, and Craig Brockman.

The untitled album, the group’s second, will be available on May 4, 2010.

Shout-out to Jeremy for the heads-up on this and for cracking me up by calling these dudes “the Voltron of Gospel Music.” I think you’re right! LOL

Yes!! I BEEN waitin on this, ever since their last CD! I always wondered what happenend with the live DVD featuring Tye Tribbett that never got released. At any rate, these dudes are the truth! All REAL musicians. And I’m not even all into quartet like that, but these guys got somethin on ‘em! Oh yes! They got dat stank! (And I mean that in the best possible way. )

Get out! I have been waiting for this forever! Now, see if you can find out when they plan on releasing the DVD from the last recording. I’ve been waiting forever for that one too!

Oh yeah! I’ve been waiting on this for a LONG time. Like Nia said, I’m not big on the quartet sound but these guys are the exception! Their first CD ranks up there with the best in my collection. An easy top 10 CD.

I can’t wait until the Voltron comes to fruition!

Hopefully it’s the recording they did a few years back with Marvin Winans. If I hear one more recount of that concert, imma scream! Lol!

I can’t wait to hear this record! There’s a clip of the song they did with Marvin Winans on YouTube, & it is a great song! I can’t wait to hear this finished product!
